For Campaign 63 we have addressed two issues in host configuration in an effort to improve a couple of aspects of game play.
The first one is encouraging more "behind the lines" activity by increasing the ability to overstock brigades by 25%, activity which often centers around the ambushing of manual resupply.
The team has been working their buns off fixing broken stuff and exterminating some very annoying bugs as well as adding a few juicy items. The latest patch will require the host to come down sometime Thursday, July 15, 2010, most likely in the morning. Please check the Twitter feed for updates.
It's time to tell your former squaddies: A Welcome Back Soldier event is coming this weekend! From July 30th to August 2nd, Playnet and the Special Events team will be hosting the "Breakthrough at Cassino" mini-campaign on the Training Server. For many players, the thought of taking charge of a map as OIC can be a very intimidating idea. I've heard tell of people actually running away, screaming and flapping their arms, when asked to take control of the map for a few. It can definitely be a challenge. NEW MISSION SPAWNING SYSTEM?Friday, 23 July 2010From Drkpatch in the Barracks: "Have you ever considered moving to a "slot" type mission spawning system? What I mean is, rather than having a mission be a total free-for-all, where you can spawn anything in the pool that your rank allows you to, have a finite number of "slots" or roles in each mission.
