WHO'S WINNING?

Each phase of the BLOODY BATTLES campaign will be critical to deciding who is the overall winner. The way the points are allocated ensures that there will never be a draw in any phase and there will always be a chance to turn around and claim victory. Before the server is reconfigured for the each phase, the victor will be declared and points awarded, which will be displayed as a running tally on the scoreboard.

HOW ARE PHASES SCORED?

The campaign map will be played out as separate "Phases”. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are weekday phases and Phase 3 is a weekend phase:

Ground Objectives : 3 points
Bombing (air) Objective : 1 point

Either side might hold an objective for any amount of time during each phase of the BLOODY BATTLES campaign, but the winner is determined by who holds the objectives at the end of that phase.

VICTORY CONDITIONS

The winner of the BLOODY BATTLES campaign is the side that:

A) Win 3 battles in a row or
B) Accumulates the most points overthe course of 3 battles

The campaign has been designed so that there are 3 phases, conditions also allow either side to have a chance at victory no matter how close they are to being beaten.

Bloody Battles AAR

Bloody Holland! – Phase 3 AAR:- Fortress Germany

The third phase in the campaign event  “Bloody Holland!” was another stunning success for the Allied forces but was brutally fought for by the defending Germans who, fighting on the doorway to the German heartland itself gave no quarter and asked none in return. Populations in game, wrestling for the honors of the win were very good, 4 and even 5 AO’s were seen during the peak hours of the day. Kills per minute were at times the highest we have ever seen in the games history.

Phase 2 AAR- Kicking in the Front Door

The Allies were on a roll from Phase 1 and it was clear from the outset they didn't want to lose any momentum at all. While Germany put up a strong fight, and even won the bombing objective (much to the surprise of many including the allied pilots!) the ground result was a slow but relentless push of one side against the other, with kill totals at unprecedented levels, but slowly moving further and further into Germany. The fighting was intense but it eally seemed like the allies were going to not be stopped by anything this time around. After losing the first in the series a few weeks ago, perhaps this was not surprising.

Phase 1 AAR- The Bridges of Nijmegen

Phase 1 opened with one hell of a bang. Within the first few hours kills were being recorded at the rate of 4 a minute which is an outstanding level of action to be had.

Any time there's kills per minute on the map above 20, It's indicative of a great fight. We sustained rates over 30 per minute for well over an hour. At one point, a rate of 41 was sustained for 30 minutes. That works out to 1230 kills in 30 minutes. Simply an amazing kill rate.

FAQ

Q: How are the victory conditions different than the "normal" campaign?

A: The winner of the BLOODY BATTLES campaign is the first side to either:
Win 3 battles in a row - or -
Accumulate the most points over the course of the 3 battles

Q: Can we fight anywhere on the map or are we locked into certain towns?

A: Objectives for each Phase will be clearly indicated before it begins. Where you fight is up to you. There will be no restrictions. The objectives will dictate the play space. For instance if the objective is to capture Sedan there would be little sense in placing an AO and fighting in the Zeelands. You are free to do so if you wish, but you will most likely lose the objective and the phase.
