1.29 Release Nov 25th

DOCWell the day has arrived! We will be bringing the servers down at 12:00 noon (1800GMT) to patch the host and get your downloads in gear. This will be a big downtime because we have to reconfigure all the server side mods we performed to allow for the reversed campaign map and the decoupled RDP process. Resetting to a new campaign would be a lot easier, but we don't want to kill this one as so many players are having a great time with it, so it will continue after we bring the servers back up and the new patch is now the live game.

This means that we'll be adding the new aircraft to the current ToE's while the servers are down for reset. We know that an extended downtime (it could be as much as 5 hours or so) is not a popular thing to have happen, but there is no escaping the need to do this. There is no way around it and we'll be working feverishly here to try and make it as short as we possibly can. If we are to get the new version out before the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend and have a day or so to catch anything we might have missed that is of a serious nature, we have to launch today.

We hope you enjoy all the cool stuff that this version brings, and the possibilities for the future that the ground work underneath the surface will allow us to develop. We're about to push the launch sequence here so we'll see you on the other side and we hope it's not going to all blow up on the pad!

THE PATCH WILL BE AVAILABLE AS AN AUTO-UPDATE WHEN YOU LOG INTO PLAYGATE OR AS A FILE ON OUR DOWNLOADS PAGE. THE PATCH WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DURING THE SERVER DOWNTIME. EXPECT SEVERAL HOURS OF SERVER DOWNTIME BEFORE THE PATCH FOR THE CLIENT IS AVAILABLE.

From what I can see in the Beta, this is hands-down the absolute BEST version of the game I have EVER played! It truly is a whole new game. Can't wait to try it out with the real war on the live server. Thanks CRS and Happy Thanksgiving!

Where is the link to the patch? Not available yet as far as I can see. Sorry to be rude but not to have this link obvious and available now is yet more evidence of the need for you guys to sharpen up massively. No excuses - do it please.

The patch will be available as an auto-update via PlayGATE (updates when you log in) or as a file available on the downloads page. This won't occur until we bring up the servers and test it. Id expect a couple hours before that happens.

Is this out yet, i have been trying but getting an error about connecting to the patch server! Im only 14 and playing since 2001 and still cant remember what to do with downloading :D

I am excited to see all the new things in this patch even i dont know what they are, ill find out soon. frogdeth said the patch was going to be released in march, no idea why i believed him, so im supprised. should read website more often. gj CRS
