FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

Hello Axis,

Campaign 89 has kicked off. Time to dust off those boots, send carrier pigeons to your squad mates and start pushing the line west!

From the get-go of the campaign Axis made some nice gains in the Zeelands, forcing Allies to commit an extra division to the northern flank to halt our gains. In the middle and southern flank there has been some epic battles both by sides, but the front line has largely remained unchanged.

Every soldier, pilot, and captain logged into game makes a huge difference. We can all do our little bit, the simple things like: busting FBs early, marking contacts, working together in combat. We do the basics and the results will follow.

Victory through teamwork.

AAR of the Week:

CSM308:

Woke up at 0615 EST, got a cup of coffee, went downstairs turned on the computer and "no internet access." An hour later, after several frantic phonecalls to Verizon FIOS (apparently there was a weenie in the warp drive), and I finally got in game at 0730.

Praevus had map, sgthenning was in game, AO up on Mouzon and DO on Tilburg (which fell as I was logging in). We sat at map watching for EWS while moving units to respond to Tilburg loss. EWS went off in Paal, Boganhunta spawned an opel and off we went to bust the FB. As we drove out an AO was placed on Paal and a laffy and beddy drove off from the FB.

After some sprinting the FB was down and that attack was dead 15 minutes after AO was placed. AO couldn't come down for another 30 minutes so we had in effect killed the Allied momentum for this morning. Killed some stragglers in town after the mass Allied despawn, reset a CP and that was it in Paal.

EWS was going off in Spontin as I logged off. James10 was logging in as I was logging off.

Lesson learned: The Allies have enough players in early EST to defend our one AO with maybe 10 or so more to conduct their one AO. Quick response on EWS will kill their attack.
