Hello Everyone,
Well CRS has just had their party celebrating the 10th Anniversary and on June 6th they will celebrate their 8th Anniversary of the game going live on the internet for all of us to play and become totally addicted to. The Special Events team, with Malize leading the charge, and has come up with something very special for this occasion.

Since June 6th is a very historical date in World War II, and is CRS's Anniversary, which falls on a Saturday this year, we will have a "What If" scenario: What if the Axis command had guessed right and the Allied Command decided to make the Big Invasion location Calais? 

"Operation Overlord, The Invasion of Calais" will be held on June 6th, 2009 on the Training server and will begin at 10:00 AM Pacific time. We will have a muster period for 1 hour to get everyone into position and then the Anniversary Event will run for 3 hours. So that means we are looking at a 4 hour long Event. 
 
I was trying to get two of the greatest leading in the game to have a Grudge Match and finally settle who is the Best Commander in Chief in the game, Badger or Shilling, but some real Life misfortunes with Shilling have put a damper in the Grudge Match and they will not be able to Command the troops for their respective side. Both Badger and Shilling were very interested in doing this, but it just couldn't be worked out and come to be.
 
With that being said, we are looking for a Commander in Chief for each side to command their troops for this event. Maybe we could find a few of the retired CinC's from the game to battle each other again in a rematch. Maybe we can get some of our oldest and respected players of the game to be the Commanders of their respective sides.
