Q: Could We Get New Pillboxes?  I mean in all honesty the ones we currently have (that look more like an open hut than a pillbox) kinda fail at their job, and it's more of a suicide thing to do to set yourself up in one of those than to hide in a bush and do the same job. They're more like battlefield obstacles (not strategic obstacles, more like a rock/tree in the way obstacles) than a defense strong point.

TOTO: Both the at gun pits and the infantry pits have been redone for v1.31. The AT gun pit (new one) is different. The infantry pit is more of a pill box.

Q: Pick up someones kit? Would it be possible to add the ability to pick up a killed infantry's kit. Like his rifle or a sapper charge, or even dump the french smg when you find a dead tommy?

RAMP: This feature would probably best be left for when we do loadouts, but it is technically possible. We could do it by weapon or kit. Or possibly even in more generic terms of "more ammo". Some client work with how troopers and weapons are handled would be required, but when loadouts are done, we could make those changes pretty easy. The host client interaction and the actual "rules" for when and what can be picked up would be where the work is. We have talked about this and I think its a popular idea, but its not on any short term todo lists that I know of. That doesn't mean it won't be, though, as we've got some infantry updates coming up very soon.

Q: Improvements for mission map? Please please please put in auto-approve mode for marks with a .autoapprove command or something. Instead of the waypoints using letters allows us to place icons with 2 tanks, guns, or infantry with a letter by it. This would allow people trying to organized attacks to show people were to place guns or tanks when setting up an attack. It would also show where they want the MSPs set up. This would allow people to set up things like uberschlagend tactics and run both attacks and defences that can incorporate players almost instantly

DOC: Auto-approve all marks automatically is on our list of options to include in the UI. We plan to do so.

Q: Had an observation today, is there anyway to have paratroopers who are killed in midair actually die on the ground? The human lawndarts start to look silly after a lot of drops. And just as a note, it's terrifying to be directly under a drop, you can kill them in midair but they don't scream until they hit the ground next to you, which on a large drop can sound like a horror movie.

BLOO - Paras who die in the air dropped at a bad place. They weren't intended to be the Royal Scottish Highland Suicide Regiment.

Q: When will we be able to deploy anti vehicular barricades? You guy have pics of the baracades on your home pages diarama at the top. Dragon teeth all the way to the right(need a wide screen monitor to see them) and those funky welded railroad ties in the middle left.

DOC : We’ll probably be exploring "player built" instances of things like barricades, emplacements and what have you when we get some of the basic core work done to make it possible, as part of other features we want to explore. We’re planning to make it so that it can happen, but how and when we aren't able to discuss at the present time.

It's wonderful to feel we are getting closer and closer to the concept initially aimed at. When I get my master degree next year, I think I will enjoy some nights over here again, like when I was at college.

i wish they will put a pillbox just for inf just like the houses but put a pillbox for us so we can set up LMGs

Good news about the auto approve on the contact marks. One of the most annoying aspects of the game.

BTW TOTO, I think he didn't mean AI emplacements, but rather the wooden cammo emplacements. The current design is nice to hide from air spotters, but it doesn't allow hold the line.

I have an idea of how you can make these obstacles like dragons teeth and hedgehog tank traps. You make a put in a vehichle specifically for that purpose perhaps some WW2 engineering vehichle?

ya it would be good if we got new pill boxes cuz it would help 2 hold the line and it would make it more realistic and it would be harder to atak a city or easer to protect!!

Could you PLEASE try using the new gunpits with all the different guns we have and bofors BEFORE adding them to the game... that way you KNOW these things work. Can't deploy the atg's (legs spread too wide)

any thought on allowing hc officers and oic officers the opportunity to call in limited artillery barrages.. all depending on how long brig has been in a town and diff sized shells..120mm 150mm etc
