RAFTER: Currently we don't have the type of AI engine required to handle behavior of this type. Of course there is always the issue of firing on civilians which muddies the waters. I think we're more likely to spend efforts on populating the game world with more cultural objects and allowing players to place tactical objects before adding civilians.
Q: Any chance of adding the phonetic spelling of towns and cities to the map. There are a lot of towns in game that I have no idea how to pronounce. When people are using ts you might hear 3 or 4 differnet names called out for the same town. And add the names of the rivers to the map in game. GOPHUR: Truth is there is no one right way to spell or pronounce many of these names. Different people in the region pronounce them differently in real life. We caught enough flak for the spelling choices we made, I'd hate to try and make an official pronunciation. Heck, we can't even get people to use CP for Choke Point (a town) instead of a Capture Point (a flag). Might be a good community project for the wiki though.
BLOO: "My language is dead on on Dec. 21, 2012, the world will be too."
GOPHUR: We'll probably try to kick it off by having it only at certain times and try and open it up if an intermission comes along but I'm not too worried about a deserted live game. Most players won't stop in except offline to see the new eye candy. We do have a dedicated group of guys who really like to help out in the open test environment but I'd hardly call it an army. Q: Ahhhh Oh COME ON! Release open beta allready!!! Serioulsy guys, open the damn doors and let me in!!! I feel like one of those sad harry potter fans waiting outside the entrance to the book store at midnight for the new release. Look, how about just letting 'me' in? eh? into closed beta i mean. dont have to let the other sad loosers in that frequent these forums, just me.. GOPHUR: Meeee tooooooooo. Seriously though, it just isn't ready. Not so much that we have a couple hundred known issues to knock out and not features because they are almost all done, but we still have a big terrain project in the works that we're counting on for some needed fixes and performance. It's back end work but we really need it before we open the gates. I'll now more in the next two weeks, hopefully sooner.
Q: PZ mg's -are they bugged? You can shoot a Panzer to bits and pieces, but unless it explodes, that front MG lives and shoots. Was it really that well protected in real life? GOPHUR: Nothing supernatural that I'm aware of. The hull gunner is in a bit of a low spot but he's killable as far as I can tell. I'll ask the betas to do a controlled test on all the Panzers just to be sure.
DOC: Not at present. We keep our eye on this one though. We'd need the ordinance server for high altitude bombs first but once we get that in we might begin discussing the merits of raining death on other players from afar. |

Q: Random AI controlled civilians ? How about having random wandering AI controlled civilians in the game. For example civilians would try to flee when any combat actions would occur. Old men, women and children - some of the dragging packages with them.
Q: Anybody here speak Maya? (Either written or hiroglyphic). How does "I love you" translate into Maya?
Q: Do we have any plans for behind the line artillery? Not ATG's but actual artillery that is behind the lines and fires at distance?
still wondering when we will get lederhosen. and my kubelwagen.
[We've told you before, if we give you lederhosen, then Moxin will demand a leather bustier and matching thong and that cannot be allowed]
