Some concerns have cropped up regarding the performance of Bofors rounds: "Me and some colleagues who also play bofors have noticed a distinct change in the gun with the last patch - and no mention of changes in the notes. Could you please explain why you have decreased the velocity of the rounds initially from 900m/s to 875m/s and why in game, they are actually only 500-575m/s. Do you intend to rectify the problem with your next minor patch?"
The updates made to visual effects is absolutely going to throw your targeting off. Because it was something that changed quickly rather than gradually, it's going to be pretty jarring for regular AA gunners. Over time, however, you'll find that you adjust to the change and aircraft will once again be dropping like gnats in a cloud of bug spray. |

MOTORMOUTH: There were no changes made to any ballistics models for the Bofors with the 1.31 update. What did change was the look of the tracers. Tracers were reduced from dinner plate size to something smaller and more realistic. This was done because with the new effects system, tracers were so huge it was like shooting glowing white soccer balls, and it looked hokey as hell.
IRL bofors m/v should be around 850 m/sec should it not?
