WHY THE WESTERN FRONT?

This question pops up every once in a while: "Why the Western front and not the Eastern front? Did you ever discuss doing the Eastern front first instead of doing the Western front? Also why North Africa as a possible next area and not the Eastern front?"

RAFTER: Our original intent was to expand to additional theaters of operations including North Africa, Eastern Front, Pacific and so on. Due to a variety reasons, we have instead focused on expanding the time line of the Western European theater.

Work continues to realize our long term goal of adding a new theater. This depends on our ability to create the necessary terrain populate it with related terrain objects, produce the required units and possibly modify game play elements to better suit other theaters.

How goes the Terrain Object program where that will take you from hand placement to a more coded means of placing objects in the game?

Having a north african camp with the south of europe included would make for some great Air and naval battles, I understand its a lot of work for a small team to do, but is a great long term goal to have an alternate map

The last thing the game has ever needed is seperate theaters.
Great way to dilute the playerbase further, and distroy the best thing about the game, the single seamless big map.
Now extending the map to cover these areas, that a different matter!

Might be nice to move the game to a North African theater for a while, then redo the European map with a new base terrain model.

Why not make the scenarios like africa or easter front available as war progresses and deactivate the ones who have been complete, also HC should choose the next scenario after victory has been achieved.

sueño con el frente ruso ,no se como es el proceso para agregar mas terreno. pero se podria sacar las fbs ( son horribles ) y acortar las inmensas distancias entre ciudad y ciudad y asi agregar mas ciudades hacia el este.

What about a beta server of a different theater? Once built, the existing map could be augmented with the new and launched as 3.1 (guessing/joking/perhapsnotjoking). Could this help speed up a build while providing a huge test pool of subscribers?

Why not redo this entire game with a new engine and graphics
If you dont update Activision will do this for one of the new Call of Duty and it will be as popular as WOW

Take some dev time,and work on that North Africa theater you started oh, 3 years ago, and make it a alt map. When the French map is complete, you then move on to the North African campaign if Axis win,if Allies win it resets to France again.

Maybe the lack of resources is a key. We, hard-core players, will continue to support BE anyway hoping to gain more players (read resources) and grow up.
Ah ... NA terrain with Italian troops will be enough for start ;-)

Victory condition maps. Say axis players conquer Northern France and take the option to Envade England out of the first map. Second map, Africa map. Third map, England. Something along those lines. A sorta of victory progression for either side.

If make a new theatre could be quite difficult, why don't add instead just 2 new nations? (Americans and Italians)
- Americans you have already a lots of models ready.
- Italians, you can add some basic tanks or airplane for the start!
