As far back as I can remember, the Rats have always encouraged their customers to talk to them about what's bugging them or what they hope for the game. And, as far back as I can remember, they've always been very visible in the community. That's a rarity. Over the years, I've spent time on other game forums. On most of those discussion boards, days, if not weeks, will go by without a single post by a member of their staff. We have no intention of discontinuing to use the forums as a means of letting players communicate to us how they're feeling about the game or questions they have. We do have rules about what kind of behavior is acceptable on our forums, however. It's not just for our benefit, but for yours as well. Our aim is to keep the forums safe and welcoming for everyone. And that's why the Terms Of Service were written. They're pretty basic and easy to follow. So, what's acceptable, in a nutshell? Civil discussion. No more, no less. You get what you give. If you come in with an honest question or complaint and present it in a reasonable manner with the goal of receiving a reply, you're far more likely to get it. If, however, someone storms in and begins shouting, cursing, hurling insults and/or threats, it's a guarantee that their post will be removed, and presents a chance that the whole thread will be removed. The same idea goes for in game chat or any communication service hosted by CRS/Playnet. Everyone gets frustrated, it's a fact. But letting that frustration leak over into a discussion isn't doing you or anyone else any favors. Rage quitting, threatening to unsub, insults or accusations of bias/nerf/denial don't make us more aware of what's broken and/or missing. We know what's bugging you and what ideas you have. We read the forums every single day, weekends and holidays included. We read in game reports. We read emails and PMs. What is boils down to is this: We don't have the manpower to reply to each and every individual idea, question or complaint. Instead, we spend that time testing, discussing, auditing, fixing or coding. Some things we can do quickly, other things we can't. Still other stuff gets put on a wish list by sheer necessity. We're a small team and we work hard every day to make this game better for you guys. Prioritizing fixes and features is not easy and, sometimes, stuff we'd give our left nut to put in for you guys has to wait for the greater good of the entire game. Don't stop sending us ideas, concerns or complaints. We can't improve the game without your input. We only ask that you keep that input useful and level-headed. This community is like no other. So many of your ideas have been implemented over the years. We salute your dedication and your passion, and want you to know that we share it. S! |

I don't want to spend my precious time having to scroll past the spam to get to the meat of the thread.
