S! From the Desk of the Special Events Director Still working really hard on Intermission #51, it's gonna be a blast! The next Realism Event is planned for May 9th, 2009. Malize has created the Eben Emael (Operation Granit & Breton) Scenario to be hosted on the Training Server. Make sure you sign up here nice and early for those prime positions! Other events that are being planned with include RAT participations, we'll keep you posted! -Jammyman From the Desk of the Lead Game Moderator As the Lead GM, I am the only GM that is known publicly. All other GMs are required to maintain anonymity for their own protection and to allow them to perform their jobs efficiently. The GMs all go through a very intensive background check before they are approved. There is a strict Policy that all GMs are to follow. These people are required to be very mature and are in game to serve this community that we all love. There has been some confusion lately as to the use of some channels in game, specifically Side Channel and Ops Channel. Side Channel is designated as the Off Topic channel. Ops Channel is for Operational chat only. Of course all chat on ALL channels must stay within the Terms of Service. And lastly the Language Filter. The Language Filter is not intended to be a free pass for profanity. This game is rated M for Mature for Violent Themes and Blood. The Language Filter is there to help uphold the M rating by allowing players not wishing to see profanity to enable it. However, some players deliberately circumvent the filter and or insist on using open channels for profane topics and language (that is not caught by the filter). So the Terms of Service still apply for language in game. GMs are players of the game just like everyone else. The only difference is that we also volunteer our time to help other players. If you need help in game just /report it. However, GMs cannot help with Game Code and we will not respond with chat to your report. Those are forwarded to relevant staff at CRS for followup.
From the Desk of the Lead Forum Moderator As usual, news of any update spurs discussions in the forums about what's going to be included. We tend to see some people interpreting things a bit strangely, so please make sure you read announcements and reports thoroughly before partaking in these discussions. If you've got questions or need clarifications on anything in these reports, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . One thing that I do see mentioned occasionally is that someone has a question about the forum rules. There is a link at the bottom of each forum page where you can find the forum TOS. Here is the link. If anybody has a specific question, you can contact me via PM or email, which can be found at that link. -Schulz From the Desk of the Lead Trainer Our Lead Trainer Fearny has had to take a brief LOA for personal reasons, so Chkicker has volunteered to step in and be our interim Lead. If you've got any questions, or would like to volunteer your services as a Trainer, find him in-game or send him a PM via the forums S! |

For the past 8 years, I have been a happy member of this great WWIIOL Community. So many things have happened here that stick in my memory. Conventions, mini-conventions, memorial services for those we've lost, fund raising efforts for various charities, donations of money, time and resources to help out fellow players in need, huge outpourings of support, condolences and well-wishes for those who have needed it.
Many times there are some who don't understand the work involved that these people do.
I for one appreciate it.
Until we see a Submarine....
