Playnet and Cornered Rat Software would like to welcome aboard Dan 'Joker007' O'Brien as our new Assistant Game Manager. JOKER007 joins TOPD under the direction of Geoff 'Doc' Evans, Game Manager/Producer as part of the team that works with the game moderators and the High Command to keep your game as fun and fair as possible.

JOKER007 started WWIIOL as a day 1 player.  He joined the original Kelly's Heroes squad for it's emphasis on fun with highly-skilled, real-life former military veterans.  He became CO and grew the squad to 90 players and joined the AHC when it was first released in-game as the 9th Marines CO and soon moved up to Allied Deputy Chief of Staff.  JOKER007 has served in the GM group and flew the buzzard at the order of the original Badger.  He rejoined the AHC as a Brigade CO and moved up to Allied CinC, retired (and was awarded an honorable medal by the vaunted Axis KriegsMarine).

We say goodbye to Adam "Latham" Latham who will be leaving our team to pursue other ventures. Our sincerest thanks him for the countless hours he has devoted to WWIIOL: Battleground Europe in the role of Community Manager and Assistant Game Manager.  LATHAM came on board as a volunteer staff member in 2006 but his involvement with WWIIOL began in 2001. Before becoming CM, he was highly involved in Officer Training, the HC and game moderation. As Community Manager, he was instrumental in keeping open lines of communication between the players and staff. He was always available to help, be it new players, High Command, community volunteers or dev staff. His passion and attention to detail are well known and we'll miss seeing him on the forums or in-game every day.

In addition to our thanks, we wish Latham the best of luck in his new role as the owner/operator of his very own bar! We'll be expecting an invitation to your open bar convention soon, Latham!

Stepping up to fill his role as Assistant Game Manager will be Donavon 'TopD' Dilling. TOPD has been gathering information and advice from LATHAM for the past few months and we have every confidence in his abilities to take on all the duties required of his role, one of which will be training JOKER007.
