An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief: Its time for a new report and as I write this we have our allied forces breakout and divided our frontline. But I know our team the TEAM AXIS will stand up and fight together. Sometimes we have good talks on our side channels and we all are different kinds of people. And that make things hard sometimes for the officers and the rest of the team. But our common goal is to have fun great battles and jokes around in game. Why go around talk about I knew it? Sometimes you right sometimes you might be wrong. Keep up the good work and fight side by side your friends and enjoy Camp52 we turning 40 days soon!
I have had a chance to learn about many things as a RAT that I didn’t know as a player. One of them is that many new players are doing much better after they have completed the new training courses. But veteran players do not always understand what is happening to new players. I want to make you aware of something very important. Our new players help *your* side, and help to grow this game we all love. Sometimes, players may mistake a new player for a spy – and this is a horrible experience for our new players. 99.9% of the time – when you see a rookie tag that is not doing something right – it is because they are new and don’t know what to do .. exactly. They know what they want to do – they just don’t know how to do it as easily as a veteran. Talk nicely to anyone you see who is not acting perfectly. A little help from you and they will probably join your squad, or help you again later when they are a better player. Most of the veterans of this game can remember the first player who ever helped them fly, drive, tank or play infantry. Just getting to a mission with the msp and then learning to not fire, and not smoke is a great first lesson. The rookies will crawl into town with you or follow you to cap a depot IF you take the time to train them, or get them to follow you. Do the right thing – another subscription that stays in the game is just like YOU made a new subscription yourself. Every new player helps give you the game and equipment you want for the future. ‘Spies’ are so rare that you should stop worrying about any – you will see many, many more rookies. Make a friend, a squadmate, or a player who will help you later. We all benefit. - JOKER007
On Wednesday night, the axis squad 1775th, adopted a few of the RATS and took us on a few parachute drops. I had a great time. It’s been a long time since I was on a 100+ para-drop. The ground combat was very intense and its gaming sessions like that that re-stokes the Battleground Europe fires. My thanks to the 1775th for inviting us to join their squad for an evening. - TOPD

On my desk I received an AAR that I would like to cheer you up with: The Battle for Bavay - May 15 Bavay is a small village sitting west of Maubeuge. Usually a quiet place, some wine crops and sheep farms. But on Thursday the 14th the peace was disturbed by the rumors of Axis troops moving to take over the control of the Maubeuge airfield. Later the evening a small Luftwaffe recon force drove through the village, but they did not stay. During the night few French guerilla fighters came in, and asked questions on the Axis movements. Hours later, early in the morning an entire fresh allied division arrived to the area. Their goal: to recapture the airfield in Maubeuge, where several LW units were located. Then the following morning, May 15th heavy fighting was heard due NE, from the direction of Mons. Axis troops were trying to push the Allies away to secure the airfield. The battle lasted for many hours; many airplanes flew above the village. Around mid-day the sounds of fighting from Mons ceased.
Faces of the French troops in Bavay were worried; apparently the Axis had won in Mons, and the brigade in Bavay was fearing an immediate Axis assault. Sure enough it came. Heavy fighting ensued. The village was quickly reduced to rubbles. The fields were filled with burning wrecks of armor from both sides. Allied troops pushed the Axis back, but as supply faltered, they were forced back into town. Every house and window was manned with rifles pointing out. The Axis troops did not get in. The Allied airplanes above were more numerous; the LuftWaffe was unable to resupply their forces in Maubeuge. The French soldiers looked optimistic as the battle calmed down. Some cheering was heard, and the hungry soldiers finally got something to eat. Plans were made on perhaps to counter the Axis troops, which were assumed to be badly attritted from their fighting in Mons and Bavay. Then, suddenly, the sound of a new Axis armored force was heard from the North. Ten Panzers were approaching with infantry support. The axis had pulled their attack back to get the allied soldiers off guard, and now they started a new surprise attack. The Allies having no AT equipment left were rapidly overrun. Just twenty minutes later, the village of Bavay was firmly in Axis control... Commander of armor column: Oberst Fiambre Commander of the Infantry support: Oberstleutnant Tsingis Commander of the Attack: Oberst Zeta Officer of the week: Chokk: Officer of the week goes to an officer that keeps going and asking and tries his best. He has done a lot of supply runs and setting MS's and leading the team that is in his area.
Player of the week: Loonie: And to pick out a player to the player of the week is hard. This weeks players is active on communication between the different branches and between HC and the rest of the team.. Congrats! S! Axis forces stand up and move the frontline westwards again once more. And remember we are different all of us but we have one thing at least in common we want to make it fun together. -Westwild, Axis CinC
