An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-ChiefI am sitting here at my office looking back on an interesting week! The last week we launched a united attack on Antwerp and captured it. After that we have been fighting a large allied force and they pushing us at the moment. Wednesday 1.30 was going live and it’s our duty to log in and fight the allied team and to be sure that the first campaign with 1.30 falls into the Axis TEAM hands.

What a night. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the development and support staff, we finally got 1.30 out the door. We are aware that there are still some small bugs to squash – most notably the M10 and the HC tools – but we will be squashing them as quickly as we can. As always, we appreciated you patience and support during this development cycle and the marathon updating session on Wednesday

FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

I am sitting here at my office looking back on an interesting week! The last week we launched a united attack on Antwerp and captured it. After that we have been fighting a large Allied force and they are pushing us at the moment. Wednesday, 1.30 went live and now it is our duty to log in and fight the Allied team and to be sure that the first campaign with 1.30 falls into the Axis TEAM hands.

This week I got a little AAR from my point of view about the capture of Antwerp. Our team held around 16.00 GMT+1. I asked the TEAM AXIS to secure the FB against Antwerp. The Map OIC at the time, Potthead, attrited the brigades in Temse to be sure that a counter attack later on would not come from there.

Around 18.15 GMT+1 (Berlin time) I asked the team to start their preparation to launch the attack on Antwerp.

A little before 19.00 Berlin time I Set AO and we was attacking from North S and E.  Squads knew their tasks and they accomplished them very well. After Antwerp was contested, we captured AF bunker for the first time to help our LW to clear the skies.

Three times we kicked the navy forces in Antwerp before it finally fell. After 2 hours we started to send forces from some areas to push harder in those areas that was needed. Communication between all involved in the attack was very good and we talked about where to hit harder!

After about 4 hours we was attacking the last AB and allied forces was coming from west we had our cut group ready and they held very good and long.

Km was dropping paras and had DD`s supporting the attack from the sea.

Finally Antwerp fell and I am very proud to be a part of that attack!

You can all read a full report here.

And a little award to those being in on the battle of Antwerp:
