An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-ChiefTEAM Axis we are closing in on 50 days of fighting the Allied forces in Campaign 52. You have done very good and you stood up when it was most needed. KM are fighting hard to hold the Allied navy away from our coast line and going in on special Ops on the main land when a good target is in place. LW been pushed out of Antwerp and Brussels so our gas bill increasing, but keep those plane in air to support the ground forces of TEAM AXIS.  Heer have been fighting hard defensive missions in the center of the map. It's time to get back on the roll get those forces prepared for moving west again! Remember one man alone can do great things. But if you team up we can do even greater things!!!

The Axis and Allied players continue to see a very unusual event:  The Allies - pushed back to their rear area factories, without Antwerp and Brussels, and with the Tiger in-game - have pushed back to the Meuse river line in the center, and Metz AF in the south.  But the Axis still own both Breskens and Vlissingen in the north, as well as holding Antwerp and Brussels!  And the sounds of Tigers echo across the battlefront for the remainder of the campaign.  M-10’s and Sherman 76’s have to try to close the range on the Tiger, with Pzr 4G’s and Stug 3G’s backing up the Tiger.  The tank columns are starting to get larger and larger – and so is the barrel size of the enemy’s ATG’s.

The fearsome Stuka is still able to do 5 big bombs of damage, but it is a very slow and vulnerable plane in this Tier of the Campaign, with the light and nimble Bell surviving to drop its 1 bomb and then dogfight.  C-47’s and Ju52’s have to literally hug the ground to deliver paratroops to target.  Fast fighters predominate in the air, and AA guns struggle to lead their aim effectively.

Firebases.  This is where all the equipment above comes together to fight.  There are no AO’s on a Firebase.  There is no EWS.  There is only total quiet ….and sudden battle and death.

FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

S! A short brief, we have stopped the Allied forces last push. They are still hitting hard in the center of the line. We need to hold here. New orders are out, go get them.

This week I got a report from a soldier who ventured out to seek adventure. The soilder in question is listed as MIA. So be alert, we have a AXIS team mate alone out there and we need to find him.

It happened outside Sedan in the south west about 4 k from Sedan. He was defending our Forward base as good as a true AXIS player.

He hid in the berms and watched a Sherman 76 closing in. He walked slowly up to him and placed a satchel on him and ran away. Two minutes later he had to take out an ememy ATR. Then after getting a litle rest he heard a new ET closing in on our FB and he once again placed a satchels on an incoming Sherman and took it out of action. After walking around abit he spotted an M10 looking into the forward base. He knew he only had one chance to place his charge. He slowly closed in and secured it to the M10's tracks and began backing away.

This is the last we know about this brave soilder. But we know he's got one satchel left and some ammo. So when he returns to the frontline or is found by our recon we will get his story. S! To this unknown Axis sapper!
