An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: We are currently on day 60 of Campaign 52.  After losing my hard drive last week, I’m finally back in the game and playing. And what a week it has been. We have seen some very big battles and fierce fighting all over the map. Air and ground units have seen a lot of action. Ce and his 40+ tank columns are a sight to behold. We have Antwerp back. YES! And Brussels is in Allied hands too. This overall has been a very good week for the allies. I hope everyone has had fun, I know I have.

This week’s battlefield action was quite exciting.  Allied advances in southern side of the map opened up an opportunity for a subtle “left hook” towards the axis factories.  Behind the scenes, the GM team is working with the senior staffs on both sides on long overdue revisions to the HC Articles of Conduct and a joint Officers Candidate School manual that will eventually be uploaded to the official wiki site. We are pretty excited about both efforts and will be unveiling the new documents soon.

Despite my best efforts to get him to stay on a bit longer the current Axis CinC, Westwild, has been granted early retirement and will be stepping down as CinC this Saturday.   Taking his place is a player and leader I have a lot of respect for.  Alphie will be assuming command and he will be announcing new promotions in the coming days.  I would like to thank Westwild for his service to the community and hope to see him back in game very soon.

Now, onto the side reports.

FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

S! Allied Players

We are currently on day 60 of Campaign 52.

1.30 is Live and Well. There are a few bugs left, but so far I think that the changes made are for the best. If you have issues, please make a report of it in the “game bugs” forum. And if you have problems, you may be able to find a fix for that issue there also. I had one and there was a fix in that forum which cured the problem.

Here is part of the French report from Klemzig – ArFr CoS:

“Where the hell do I start? What a week for the allies. We pushed in through Halle which cut a nice corner around Brussels for us.   This freed up Half a Div for us and allowed the line to shift east.  We immediately went after the Jodo area and capped in and rotated the brigade to the east.  We soft capped St Truiden and attempted to cut the north off in Hasselt but they managed to react in time.   This week saw the pushing of some sneaky 27ID out from Zelzate are which nearly cause 27ID to be cut. This forced the AXIS command to withdraw 27ID from Antwerp and pull them north so they would not get cut as the HQ was in Zelzate!  Go figure!
It was a long weekend in Australia which saw a lot of people on the map in Primetime US and also more coverage.  Has been a large turnout for the AHC and allied players this week.
Not ending there we now have capped Antwerp!  Yes we own Antwerp again!  I cannot remember the last time this was taken back after losing it.  A massive effort seen by all.

The Axis attempted to break out but this was taken care of swiftly.  Our lines are looking good and the Axis appears to be stretched.  27ID is now floating around in the Zee’s on some sort of summer vacation.”

I can’t express how happy I am to see the turnout we have had over the last several weeks. Each and every one of the officers and players has put in a maximum effort that has reaped it rewards of an eastward push of the map. Let’s keep this up so that we can keep the momentum alive and win this map. Come join us in this effort. We need your support.
