An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: S! Allied Players. We are currently on day 67 of Campaign 52. Allies, we have pulled together this week better than we have a lot of this campaign. We’ve opened up holes, made advances, and pushed the Axis back to the boundaries of their factories. We’re in position to end this campaign soon with continued cooperation from all of the players and officers.
FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF: S! Allied Players We are currently on day 67 of Campaign 52. Allies, we have pulled together this week better than we have a lot of this campaign. We’ve opened up holes, made advances, and pushed the Axis back to the boundaries of their factories. We’re in position to end this campaign soon with continued cooperation from all of the players and officers. A few things on the Administration side, FWDIII is working with his Axis counterpart on a re-write of the training manual. Believe me, this is not easy task joining the 2 manuals into one. Also we are improving and updating the Allied post OCS training. This should be launched shortly also. I want to thank him and all of those that have contributed for their tireless effort. Also, the senior staff is working on a re-write of the AoC to make it more up-to-date with the game as it is played now. Both staffs, Axis and Allies, are working on this and it should be done in a few weeks. Finally, I want to ask that everyone, officers and players, keep up the lines of communication. Without communication we become disorganized. It organization and coordination that helps us move forward as a team and an army. Let’s keep this up so that we can keep the momentum alive and win this map. Come Join Us in this effort. We need your support. And on a sad note, this was the last week for Ce. A lot of us have played with this guy and he’s led some pretty impressive attacks and defenses. He can be a little outspoken but all in all, he’s been a very fine officer for the Allied side. We S! Him and hope he gets back soon. Let’s talk about squads. Currently there are over 300 active squads in the Game. They vary in size, organization, and unit preference. We have ATG-only squads, squads that simulate military tactics and structure, recon squads and squads that are just a group of friends who just play together and have fun. Squads are the backbone of Battleground Europe and always will be. The unique thing about the squads in this game is that they are player owned and player controlled. The members of the squad pick their own Commanding Officer, establish their own bylaws, and discipline themselves as they see fit. Squads are also a great way for our new customers to learn the game and socialize with players of a similar age, geographical region, and style of play. I understand the need to be a “lone wolf” from time to time but being part of a group has benefits that would surprise you. I’ve made some great friends while being part of a squad. Friends that I still speak with and visit today.
