Hello Everyone,

Well it's time to do a few more Special Events. First on the list is the First ever Squad Challenge. Yes we're going to see who is king of the hill in Squads with this challenge. The challenge is scheduled for July 18th, 2009. This 1st round of Squad Challenges is call "Ambush". A Command column will depart from one town and try to make it to another town while your opponent will parachute into positions along your travel route and try to ambush the column and kill it's commander.

You can find the Mission details in this thread and you can find the Signup sheet and the Schedule in this thread. We will try to get the Euro Squads who sign up placed in the earlier slots for this tournament. So if you’re a Euro Squad, please state this when you sign up.

On August 1st, 2009, we will be holding the second Special Event on the mission "Flak Valley". The first "Flak Valley" Mission was with the Allied as the attacking team and tasked with destroying the nine bridges that surround Piesport. This Special Event will be with the Axis as the bombers and attacking those nine bridges and the Allied team as the defenders in Bofors trying to shoot them down. Mission details are not yet posted but you can sign up for this Special Event here. You can expect the "Flak Valley" Mission to be set up as the first mission was with the Axis Bombers to be announced soon. Since a single He-111 can destroy a bridge with one pass and good hits on a bridge, there's probably a good chance that we will make this mission using the Ju-87 Stukas so that the Allied AAA Batteries have a chance to defend the bridges in Piesport. As before, there will be a ceiling limit that the Ju-87 Stukas will not be allowed to fly above so that the AAA Batteries will have a chance to defend the bridges. I hope those 80+ players who joined us for the First "Flak Valley" Special Event will come and join us for the Axis Teams attempt at this one.
