An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief: I can't recall in my years of playing having as much fun as this week. The teamwork and coordination that I have seen from our Axis officers, players and squads has made me really proud to be your CinC. It has been a very hectic few days and many of us have had little sleep, it has been that exciting. With all the town and firebase turn-overs, the rotation of brigades on and off the front and the race to beat and counter the Allied movements, much of this week seems like a blur to me. Without the support of the Axis players and squads, none of these past weeks victories would have been successful.
I would like to wish our American customers a happy Independence Day. Grills will be fired up, beer will flow and fireworks will fill the night sky. Have fun and be safe.Joker007 and I have been working very closely with both senior HC staffs on several projects during the last month or so. One is a complete rewrite of the HC Articles of Conduct. Goals are to make it easier to understand, provide some flexibility, ensure accountability and provide guidance to the Branch Commanders and above on what you and CRS expects of them.
We are also working with both OCS Training Staffs on a Joint OCS Manual that both sides will use to train their HC officers. This new manual will focus on accountability and player base relations. One the manual is completed; it will be uploaded to the wiki site for all to read. Now, onto the side reports. FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF: S! Axis Forces, I cant recall in my years of playing how much fun this week has been for me personally. The teamwork and coordination that I have seen from our axis officers, players and squads has made me really proud to be your CinC. It has been a very hecktic few days and a lot of us have had little sleep, it has been that exciting. With all the town and firebase turn-overs, the rotation of brigades on and off the front and the race to beat and counter the allied movements, a lot of this week seems like a blur to me. Without the support of the axis players and squads, none of these past weeks victories would have been successful. It is the soldats on the ground who sap the firebases, the guys who tow their fellow players into harms way, the guys who patrol the rivers and coasts and last but certainly not least, the guys who bomb our enemy from the air.. they are the folks who make team Axis successful. This is a true combined arms game, where we depend on each other to get through the battle. The "do it on my own", lonewolf type of player is the one who winds up dead first, frustrated and leaves the battle early. It's the players who are coordinated and strike as a team, those are the ones who win the battles, move the map. I am very proud of our playerbase and the success of this week goes to them, because truly the players are the ones that made it happen. I would like to give a warning to our troops: This campaign is far from over, we have won some amazing battles, but we have not won the war. Now is not the time to get complacent. Stay coordinated, stay focused, keep communicating with each other and keep the momentum rolling. I have every confidence in our team and we will prevail! Yours in team Axis, Alphie CinC This weeks AAR comes from Tmanusa. He wraps up the entire Axis breaktrough very well. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did. "From Sunday into Monday the Allies had pushed the south and held Martelange - Arlon - Habay. They had 2 1/2 divisions stacked east of Sedan and two brigades holding Sedan. The front line was very L shaped with Sedan at the apex. It should be noted that we also held Haybes. Sedan was euro PT target for Monday and the field commander was Gagamel, CO of KGW. Many Axis squads were coordinating. The attack was perfectly executed and just prior to Sedan being capped the Allies moved an attritted HQ to LeChesne and pulled from Revin/Rocroi. We had option to breakout south from Sedan or push all our brigades through Haybes and go straight for Laon. It was HC decision to drive south from Sedan. Again, Allied flag movers were slow to respond and seemed to be shifting brigades back west toward Mouzon-Carignan instead of going south to stop the cutoff. Allies finally broke away an HQ and armored brigade and moved it south. Due to flag timers they were able to get into Ste. Menehould before us. We attacked Ste Menehould with little supply left in 3 Panzer and were able to cap it. Once Ste. Menehould was capped 10 brigades were cut off from supply and trapped behind the lines. Had the Allies moved Infantry KG's or more brigades to Ste. Menehould we may not have been able to complete the cutoff. About 10 hours after the operation started the cutoff was complete. On Tuesday we held the line south of Attigny and had cut off divisions to our east Grandpre area and a fresh division to the west Rethel area. We developed a plan to drive 3 Panzer west along southern border to Reims and Berry-Au-Bac. At same time 2 Panzer was attacking Signy and 4 Panzer attacking Chilly. Once those two towns were Axis we executed a pincer movement and surrounded another 5 enemy brigades. The supply was cut when the 4 Panzer division capped Rozoy. Heer orders were to hold the south at Laon. During Euro PT Tuesday we routed trapped brigades in Grandpre. During Allied PT on Tuesday night we routed the trapped brigades that were stacked in Rethel and Gomont. Also during Allied PT Tuesday night we pushed into Phillipville - Namur - Samberville area. The list of people who should be recognized is very long. Some members who deserve special recognition from HC: ch53guni, ssgtvrab and chokk. These three fine officers went above and beyond during this breakout. They logged many long hours and many many missions. They are active and always leading the playerbase! They are huge asset to Axis side and I S! them. From a map OIC perspective I can always count on them! OKW senior staff was most helpful also. Alphie, Frantish, Vondoosh, Katonka, CSM, KJ - they logged in and went to work supporting the operation. LW - What can you say? They are the key to any victory and the LW owned the skies. Our LW OIC's kept supply fresh and supported our priority attacks and defenses. Map OIC's: Mattwitt, Giggadee, Devildawg, Potthead. All contributed to the success of this operation. We know nothing HC does is possible without our Axis soldats. Unbelievable response from PB in last 48 hours. You guys (and gals) rock!! Axis players: malvoc69, dinker, helpme3, ian77, fsjr02, gagamel, tsingis, koopman, trankas and many, many more - just fantastic fighters and thinkers! Again, I know there are many more players who deserve to be listed and I'm sorry if I missed you here. Axis side is continuing to develop better squad coordination and more multi-squad ops. If your squad has not been involved in any of these so far please inquire how to get involved. S! to all Axis forces!
Tmanusa"
It is unfortunate that our award rules only allow for one officer and one player of the week. There are so many dedicated and deserving Axis players and officers that made this week truly exceptional and who fought hard to make team Axis successful. Officer of the Week: Tmanusa: Tmanusa was one of many officers who distiguished himself during the Sedan to Ste.Menehold cutoff. However, Tmanusa countless hours evaluating the enemy movements, initiating Axis movements and directing both the players and OKW officers to critical objectives went far beyond the call of duty. There is no doubt in my mind that Tmanusa's communication with the officers and players, together with his commitment to team Axis is what made this operation a overwhelming success. S! Alphie
Player of the Week: Gagamel: Gagamel started a thread for joint operations on his squad's (KGW) private forum considering the cutting off and routing of Allied forces in the south from Sedan a day prior to this operation. Knowing that the Axis's biggest squads were gathering together and considering the option, I stated that they should go for it and ordered my officers to support the players efforts in that endevour. Gagamel maintained a constant presence and guide for KGW to fight along side with the 505th, DDz, 1775, ANZAxis and 32nd. Thank you Gagamel for you and your squad's commitment to Team Axis. Your efforts have made a big impact and all of the Axis side look forward to seeing what we can do next! S! Alphie

Promotions: Imarock - promoted to Country CO Csm308 - promoted to Heer CO Vondoosh - promoted to Kriegsmarine CO When you see these officers in game, make sure to congratulate them on their fine acheivement! If your Axis squad would like to work more closely with the OKW, I encourage you to contact the Team Axis squad liason officer: mouser98 The more coordination we have between squads and OKW, the more we can achieve together. Thank you again team Axis. We still have a lot of work to do and I will see you in the field. Lets take it to them!! S! -Alphie, Axis CinC |
