It is with pride that we announce your new Commanders in Chief for Campaign #54: GreatOne, Allied CinC, has been a long time player of WWIIOL:BE and an active part of the game community.  He holds the distinction of being the first player to have ever served as theatre command for both Allied and Axis. And I take very personal pleasure in welcoming our very first female CinC! Kimberly "Katonka" Sam takes over command of the Axis forces for this campaign and we're very excited to see what new tactics she'll bring to the table.

MM: How long have you been playing WWIIOL? 

KAT: I'm not sure when I started playing I'm thinking 2002 maybe.  I joined HC in April 2005 though.
 
MM: Are you exclusively Axis or have you dabled as Allied?

KAT: I am 99.9% axis I played allied once during intermission for a few hours to join Melody for Ladies Night.
 
MM: What's your favorite part of the game? 

KAT: Getting to meet everyone from around the world.  I have made some great friends.
 
MM: Your favorite weapon? 

KAT: Rifle or Sapper
 
MM: Funniest moment?

KAT: My first and last boat ride to England. Crashm8 was captain and and he ctd 1/2 way across channel. Jakal and I treaded water till he got to us with another boat,  about 3/4 of way there crashm8 had to log but left boat pointed at Dover.  After many hours we finally beached and started the climb up the cliff.  I was 1/2 way up and.............. SPLAT ......... fell to my death.  
 
MM: Last noob mistake?

KAT: LOL I'm always making noob mistakes we could have a thread just on Kat's Noob Mistakes.  
 
MM: What do you hope to acheive as our first female CinC? 

KAT: Tough Question.  I want to do well,  I want to be visible and really spend alot of time on the ground with my Axis team, when I was just a player I rarely knew who the CinC was. Greatone  (Allied CinC) and I are hoping to do alot of in-game ops where we will be at the same town and really have some good battles.  And of course I want to WIN :) 
 
MM: Ice cream or cookies? 

KAT: Icecream and chocolate chip cookies :)

The start of every campaign welcomes new Commanders in Chief to lead their virtual troops into battle. It's a tough job with a tough bunch of people to lead and lead well. These volunteers pour hours and hours into your game to keep it fun, exciting and challenging, and we are grateful for that.
