I have a lot to report this week so let me get right to it. Campaign 53 is in the books and we are several days into Campaign 54. Congratulations to the axis forces for a hard-fought victory and to the allies for making the axis pay for every inch. This week we also say thanks and farewell to two outstanding high command officers – Allied CinC Shad0w64 and Axis CinC Alphie. Gentlemen, it has been a pleasure working with both of you. Enjoy your retirement and don’t be strangers. With that, we also welcome aboard the two new CinC’s – Axis CinC Katonka and Allied CinC Greatone. Both are officers with fine reputations and will serve their sides and the community well. I would be remiss if I failed to also point out that Katonka is Battleground Europe’s first female Commander-in-Chief. After many hours of hard work with the CinC’s and their staffs, we are pleased to announce that we have finished major revisions to the High Command Articles of Conduct. For those of you that don’t know, the Articles of Conducts are what govern how your high command officers conduct themselves in the game and on the forums. The new Articles of Conduct will be published today and both senior staffs are ready to answer any questions you might have.

Allies you are all one heck of a team and I am proud to have served as your CinC. Keep up the great work and the fight. Thanks Shad0w64 – Retired Allied CinC AAR of the week:
This Weeks AAR comes from: Ancord Defense of Fixecourt – Day 33 – Campaign 53 Bad news, my POW train got derailed by damn partisans so instead of a nice comfy POW camp all I had to look forward to was dodging bullets again. I started the long trek back to ally lines, which unfortunately took longer than I expected as allied forces continued its fallback towards Calais and Le Tourquet. I rejoined the lines at Amiens and reported in to find I was at the centre of the latest Axis operation, which was currently pushing the Southern Front. To the North of Amiens, a column of disheveled looking allied forces where pouring in from Talmas which had just fallen. Talmas capture was causing concern as this had created a hole centered around the empty town of Fixecourt which if it fell would isolates the French 2e and 4e divisions at the southern end of the allied front line. I quickly made my way to the docks and took passage on a resupply barge up the Chemin Du Halague to arrive in Fixecourt. Axis forces occupied in operations to take Amiens delayed exploiting the hole and the 4e 104th Anti-Tank Regiment arrived 2 hours later to secure the lines. Reporting to the 104th upon my arrival I took a rifle and 20 clips of ammo and proceed over to the east side installation. Allied towns had been falling quickly all day and a stand had to be made somewhere. Total number of defenders was three, two Sherman tanks and me who took up positions to the north. Installations south of the river then started to fall in the next 10 minutes numbers on defense swelled to five mostly located around the army base which was coming under light arms fire. Then the navel brigade fell back as the docks was occupied by enemy infantry. During this time the east side installation held with the loss of two enemy infantry but my armor cover to the north had been taken out by concealed ATGs occupying the high ground to the east. Stuck in my building running between windows and occasionally scouring the countryside through my binoculars for incoming enemy the scenery was only distorted by the continuous grating of enemy panzer tracks, which kept getting closer. Then over the radio news started to filter in, Ameins had fallen. The German Army had now turned their full attention to Fixecourt With defense numbers increasing as routed defenders from Ameins followed the Chemin Du Halague and made their way into town. This increase in defense allowed the south bank to be secure and the town liberated. The battle of Fixecourt had descended into a huge tank battle to the north east of towns as Sherman’s advance uphill against hull down Stug’s and the newly arrived to the front the infamous Tiger. The town continued to echo with the incoming and outgoing shells with the occasional shell slamming into the building I was bunkered into. During my 2hr defense of the east side installation 47 enemy infantry fell of which 23 where light machine gunners with the loss to allied numbers of 10 rifleman. When would the Germans learn, playing Rambo can easily be overcome with a bolt-action rifle. By now axis forces where on the defense with their forward base over run and a town defense perimeter set up. Having maintained the security of the east side installation and with no reports of enemy activity in town I set aside my rifle to grab a quick nap.
Thanks for the AAR Ancord. Keep up the good work Promotions:
