An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief: Saturday we said farewell to our 4 Star CinC Alphie and I have the honor of serving you all as CinC for this campaign. I am honored to introduce my staff CoS Ereck, DCoS Frantish, Country CO Imarock, Country Xo Csudet, and CinC Staff In Charge of Operations Csm308. It has been an exciting campaign start with some Epic Battles to get the heart pounding. Axis Soldiers are alert and fighting smart, and there has been a great response to EWS and FB ownership. Yesterday was a Fantastic Battle in Ciney and the Allies came in force and gave us a real scare but thanks to a great response by all Axis were able to hold and secure the area although it took many hours.
Battle of the Rats: TOPD vs. JOKER007
Sign up for your sides now. Link can be found here. As JOKER and I live on opposite sides of the US, we have had some difficulty scheduling a date and time for the event but we should be able to make that announcement this weekend. What I can tell you is that this will be a “rifleman-only” event in the city of Frankfurt. Goal will be to hunt down and kill the RAT while protecting your own. Each side will be also looking for one dedicated JU pilot for each side to provide “UAV-type” battlefield recon. Should be a good time so watch the forums for a solid event date and time. Report from the Front: MAP OIC 2nd of August 22.00 - 01.00 GMT Took map. After allied push in north, out lines were left extremely stretched all around the front lines. There wasn't really any chance for brigade movements. I tried to find way to get 1PD off from Ciney back up to N side of the river but there just wasn’t a solution for it. We've been counter-attacking the allied offence in north pretty much all evening... Pel offered to setup Hastiere with 1775rd and I moved 16.2 there as request but they met instant defense there and decided not to put AO. So that was about it for other AOs. So we focused on Arendonk, Turnhout and Geel. Those turned to long attrition fights. Fortunately we have Gilze and Eindhoven AF's close for paras and LW which might turn those fights to our favor. Main DO was Breda where supplies low on both sides.
Thanks to Nerudo for stepping up to Map OIC.
