An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: Well we are now at the end of week 3 of the campaign and it has seen fighting all over the map.  Major operations were conducted in the Zee’s this week seeing the allies push the KM out and encircle some brigades.  This week also saw the “Sink A Rat” event in the beginning of the week which was enjoyed by all who attended and supply was set up for the event.  Although the Rats declared a victory (not by me!  J ), it was close, real close.

After many hours of hard work I’m pleased to announce that we have finished updating the High Command Articles of Conduct. The revised Articles of Conduct can be seen here. The goals of this revision was to make the Articles of Conduct fit the current game play, give specific responsibilities to the senior officers, and make the Articles more enforceable.  I believe we have succeeded in all three.

I want to thank the Allied and Axis CinC’s and their staffs for all of their hard work to get this done.

Now, onto the side reports.

FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

S! Team
Well we are now at the end of week 3 of the campaign and it has seen fighting all over the map.

Axis forces have been hampered on many of their attacks by your work on enemy FB’s and we have made them fight for every piece of ground.  On the other hand we have over run some towns and kept the momentum going when needed the most.  There has been some great defence again this week by the allied team and lets keep this up.  A big thankyou goes out to all players and squads out there for your commitment and willingness to fight.

An update on the happenings inside AHC.
This week also see’s the release of a new set of AOC (Articles of Conduct) for both sides.  This is something the Rats and senior commanders have been working closely on for some time now.
Things are a changing inside the AHC!  And things are looking good.  Your current CINC team is working very hard with their country and branch commanders to fine tune this team to serve you better.

Now saying that, some more officers are needed and some fresh blood and new ideas are always welcome.   I would personally like to see an increase in the Low Pop HC levels especially around the GMT +6 to GMT + 12 Times zones.  “Low Pop” Players and squads have been doing an outstanding job and leading the charge.
So check in with HC when in game and come take a look.

Below is an AAR that was spotted on the forum posted by Sdwells.  This is a great observation by an allied player in the thick of the battle. It’s honest and to the point and I like it!

AAR Of The Week:

Posted by Sdwells –  My two cents:

Okay, so I am just a sgt of no repute, but TBH I have been out there quite a bit.

Breskens was hell, every time I dropped in with the paras I was dead before my feet hit the ground except once, and that time I was far too far from any objective to be of any value. Even so, we fought hard, and kept Gerry so darned busy that everywhere else we were making major gains.

I could not get a flight for another drop, so I went off south with the SAS, where we fought for one of the FBs at Leuven that was brilliant, and Gerry was fighting damned hard to hold that FB.

Later, Brussels was attacked outright, but Gerry did not have a coordinated effort and their assault was minimized in a short 20 minutes. I doubt many folks know about this little battle, but a group of 4 or 5 took down 2 MSPs and maybe 20 EI with few casualties. This raid appeared to be just that, an attempt to force us to panic and call troops from the front, and yet a handful working together turned it into butter on toast.

We also rolled over Shilde, defended several towns and generally speaking beat the tar out of the enemy everywhere you turned last night, and I think a lot of it was caused by the efforts to hold Breskens.

So, we lost one fight, we took maybe 6 or 7 towns in 24 hours, I see by the map that we continue to advance generally, and that the Netherlands are going to fall into our hands in the next 24 to 36 hours.

Maybe we could have won at Breskens if we committed everything we had for another day or two. Would it be worth it, when we now have them darned near surrounded there and we will capture it by soft cap?

Keep going Allies, this time back, I want to win a campaign.

S!
