An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: The front has shifted significantly, and not in our favor. The line we held in the center fell back dramatically, and only heroic defensive actions stopped Axis breakouts. Their successes pulled us out of the south, and it was with great sadness that we left the Southern HQ in Berry as Axis forced us to retreat further into France. The withdrawal from the south was unfortunately mirrored in the north, where the seesaw of offensives and defenses finally stopped in Axis’ favor, despite our tenacious cut off of the Zeeland’s - salute our brave forces that made that audacious move possible.
Well, sort of. Select that link and watch TOPD pwn all who stands before him. I’m on most evenings (US East Coast Time) and most weekends. Heck, you might even see a surprise or two. (Just kidding Doc). 1.30.3 was released last night that squashed a few irritating bugs. One of my favorites was the S-35 “shake bug”. Boy, am I glad that’s gone. Trucks and haulers were also audited for steep grades which should make all you truck drivers happy. Allies are fighting hard and continue to give Katonka and her axis forces difficulty. Axis forces continue to battle all along the front and are making small but bloody gains. The winner of this campaign is still in doubt so log in, have fun and fight for your side! FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF: From: Allied High Command HQ, Arras The front has shifted significantly, and not in our favor. The continued Axis push in the center eventually left Brussels too weakened to hold, and the bitter but ultimately unsuccessful fighting there was then followed by the loss of Antwerp. We now face an uphill struggle to regain our large towns and regain our core airfields. But I ask all of you reading this - if you bleed Allied - take heart. We have lost Antwerp and Brussels before - Campaign 52. All is not lost; we are in this, still. They have pushed us back but they have not broken us. As we have retreated west, our lines have compressed which leaves us able to mount robust defenses and leaves Axis vulnerable to over-stretching. We are a powerful team, as our defenses show - when we come together we can hold. And we can press; we can dictate the action, we can set the tempo and we can set the agenda; we just need to remain together. Do not give in; do not surrender this campaign. All AHC are focused on taking the opportunities that present themselves and a single victory can easily swing momentum in our favor. Remember Campaign 52, remember how good it feels to turn a loss into a win. We will never give in, we will never surrender. We must remain vigilant, we must remain resolute. But everything is not lost. Remember that!
