An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief:  Here we are, another week into the Map. There have been some tuff battles this week. We have performed well as a team and this is something I have seen drastically improve over the last month or so. Well done to all.

The last seven days have been eventful.  No, the battle-lines have not moved much but the battles have been pretty intense.  Each side is trading FB and jockeying for position.  Numbers have been pretty even and that means anything can happen.

1.31 is trudging along pretty well.  It’s great to see some old subscribers coming back to check on 1.31 so be patient.  1.31 will be in open beta “soon”.

Now, onto the reports!

FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

Here we are, another week into the Map. There have been some tuff battles this week. We have performed well as a team and this is something I have seen drastically improve over the last month or so.  Well done to all.

This week has not seen major shifts in the lines.  We have taken some ground, defended some well and also lost some here and there. Great to see all you new players joining of late, (yes all you green tags).  I have had the pleasure of running around with some of you and chucking you out of my C47 over and over.   Don’t forget to just call up on one of you HC staff if you need assistance.   Now this week I say we attempt to give the map a big push east!  Now to put it simply... I got the supply!   All I need is the boots to do it.  So check in with me when you see me online or one of the HC staff and ask for what you need.  It isn’t like I’m short of rifles.

This week’s AAR from Woolef:

Funny how these things come about. I'd spawned in Bavay and had a couple of missions before I decided to get an M1 and push it out of town NE. I was pushing it for around 1/4 of an hour before someone .m'd me 'ei near you' and with that I died to a hail of LMG fire at point blank. As the screen slowly went black he put another couple of magazines into me. My anger level started to subside after a few seconds and I thought 'right, I'll get this tw*t' and spawned an LMG. I ran NE again to look for this ei for a few minutes. I guess I got impatient trying to find him as I ran across and open field on jog and got nailed by a pak.
Grrrrrrrrrrr.

At that point I almost logged and tried my hand at some Crash Commando instead but something made me spawn LMG again and I ran straight N this time thinking that keeping clear of the NE area would be best for me. I heard some 251's going E to W way N of town. I tried asking on side channel if I could kill a 251 with a LMG, poor response though. Suffice to say I didn't get close enough to one to try. Luckily, as it turned out.

I heard an Opel trucking in close to me and only had to run around 20m to get close. I thought about camping it for a few seconds to start but I think he saw me setting up and started to move so I took his back wheel off, then filled his driver full of 7.62mm.

After another 251 travelled past me a few fields away N. I ran after it but he must have been setting up W somewhere as he was soon out of sight. Fortunately Opel number 2 turned up S of me at this point. I ran to exhaustion to get within a nice camping distance and set up in a bush line 30m to his NW just as his first ei spawned. I shot his legs off. I think there must have been a gaggle of ei waiting to spawn because with that a few more spawned in. A LMG set up W of the Opel trying to kill me but he either couldn't see me or he was a crap shot as I turned my gun on him to get the kill. The last to die (the UMS had despawned as soon as I started firing at ei) was a SMG sat in a bush near the UMS position with his map up despite me killing all his squaddies...

I had to log so I ran back into the N of town to RTB range. I saw a Stug IIIG and thought I might have a pop at his commander if he appeared but no joy. As I jogged further S I heard a HT engine running. I crept up to it and found a Pak 40 parked in front of the HT aimed into town. I made short work of both and emptied 3 full magazines into the Pak for good measure (and revenge) then another into the HT driver all this time his engine was still running. Both the Pak and Opel were high rankers too, they should have known better.

NIL!  Yup that is a big fat NIL!
Why? Over the past few weeks we have been working with the OrBat and sorting things out.  I believe we are now structured better and our ability to serve the allied cause is that much stronger.
