An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief: S! Team Axis Although the Allies have made great gains this past week DO NOT give up. It has been an incredible campaign with an extremely rocky start, to a huge push West and now we retreat East to re-stabilize our lines. The Campaign is not over as Team Axis continues the fight, we may yet prevail. Work together as a Team and whether we win or lose continue to fight hard to the end.
Map swings are always eventful for both sides. It is a hallmark of WWIIOL:BE that one side must lose whenever the other team is winning. We have seen the Axis sweep the Allies back from the Axis factories, surround the Allied southern factories, and then be swept back to their own factory lines. Antwerp and Brussels have both changed hands twice this map. This has happened a few times previously, but we are facing the possibility of a new record IF the Axis can recapture Antwerp and Brussels again…and then perhaps lose them again. This is a good display of how fast the Tier 4 and beyond level equipment gives any side with an advantage a good chance to reverse from defense to attack.
This map may seem like it has lasted a while, but the record is a 102 day map and we are far from that. Continue to log-in and play hard, realizing that your team’s morale will lift and sink in line with the changing fortunes of war. Read the reports below and go look at your map…you’ll see they are a touch out of date already. Read next week’s reports to find out why. JOKER007 FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF: S! AAR of the Week: 21-10-09 09:32 from Oliver35 53.KGS 1.Stukageschwader CO On the Oct 20 we started in the early afternoon close to 3 o'clock with CAP/CAS Prum from Bitburg. I took the LW OiC from Bitburg and I was proud to present more then 30 Axis pilots in the air to Prum. After 1.5 hours of time for coordinating with the Heer, time for advertising for pilots and organization of the flying Korps, we kicked the Allied troops out of Prum. The attack on Prum was started with two Allied brigades in Prum, then after 45 min, the Allies moved in 2 more flags, but at least we kicked 4 flags outta there. We made a lot of hits on the enemies and took no prisoners, because we killed all enemies in Prum. Mission complete. S!
