An excerpt from the desk of the Allied Commander-in-Chief: Congratulations to team allies, we own 65% of the map and routed a axis hq to training. When logging in the spirit of the allies is high comms are working, a sense of team work between the ahc officer corp and the player base is at a high level. CinC’s first orders for gold bouillon a success and we are rolling toward the axis air fields and cities in the center of the map.

Ahhhh.  The relaxing pace of Tier 0 is here again. The fighting is just as intense, but vehicle speeds, Aircraft speeds, and armaments make the battle a little slower, a little more in-your-face.  Often, High Commands are resting their top players, especially after a long map with a drawn out end-game.  Nevertheless, Tier 0 presents some issues this campaign.  The Allies hate the Stuka.   It kills so easily with a big bomb and dives straight down. The Axis hate the Matilda tank and mildly despise the  Char B1 bis tank.  The 88mm Axis ATG severely dominates from any good setup…but dies quickly when spotted.  Both  sides feel the other dominates. The kill ratio remains close to 1:1 for the entire Tier 0.  Neither side has a decisive equipment advantage.

What does happen, is that the newer High Command have to take over an intense map state.  A lot of smaller tanks attacking a city, a commander panics, moves an HQ in, fails to move a brigade out and suddenly – enemy break-out.

Tier 1 will see longer-ranged guns and faster tanks maneuvering and counter-attacking.  More experienced commanders logging in more often and for longer hours, and very likely… a swing in momentum.  Watch for it and log in with your favorite team to see what you can do to swing the battle your way.

FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

From the desk of Cinc via CoS
Campaign 56 Day 9;

Congratulations to team allies, we own 65% of the map and routed a axis hq to training. When logging in the spirit of the allies is high comms are working, a sense of team work between the ahc officer corp and the player base is at a high level. CinC’s first orders for gold bouillon a success and we are rolling toward the axis air fields and cities in the center of the map.

The FAF and RAF have been giving the Luftwaffe’s what for in the air and helped break a tough camp at hampt on the 10th.

AAR received from the French forces in theater

TO: Allied High Command
FROM: Bulldog, CO - IIIème Corps
DATE: 11-10-09
RE: AAR - MapOiC 11-9-09 (23:00-01:00 CST)

Overview and SITREP
Logged in at approx: 1900, CDT, checked with MOIC, who was Cometus. Started working FB's for Allied P1's. Cometus logged and I took MOIC at 23:00. After checking situation, I immediately sorted out the AO/DO situation, and confirmed AHC and player base ML's where "in-place" for each objective. There were plenty of senior comand staff only for assistance and Aeropaus provided excellent advice and mentorship as MapXO.

The following where the primary attacks:
Gilze - Captured
Moerdijk - Captured
Luxemburg - Dropped
Diest - Allied P2
Nandrin - Allied P1

The following where the primary defenses
Arlon - Defended
Havelange - Defended
Aarschot - Defended

When I assumed command, Allied forces where in a slight under-pop situation, with somewhat declining "total population". Most AHC where engaged in directing attacks or defenses, and provided continuing support.

The night’s operational plan:
1. Tonight's plan was to take advantage of Axis disposition in the North, also to push at Diest and Nandrin
2. Support Naval Operations (BOZ) (if possible)
3. Hold All Defenses

A Listing of Major Allied Operations in brief:
Gilze - Captured at approx. 22:20 - Gilze was a great fight, and we were able to bounce a Para BDE, too. The AF was capped, providing quite a pain for Lufftwaffe forces.

Moerdijk - Captured at approx 23:15 - Moerdijk was another great Allied opportunity. Army forces based out of Breda where able to force the Kreigsmarine out of Moerdijk.

Luxemburg - Dropped - This AO was in place when I assumed command, and would last until approx 00:00, when I would pull it due to low supply and population.

Diest - Allied P2 - Placed by me to be new Allied P1/P2. Deist FB and the DO on Aarschot (see below) would be hard fought, so this AO would be delayed for some time. The FB was finally captured by Kc23 and allied forces, the AO could proceed.

Nandrin - Allied P1 - Placed by me to be new Allied P1/P2. Again, FB's would be defended, but we would get the Mean/Nandrin FB down, which enabled MSP's to be setup to town. The Havelange/Nandrin FB would be problematic, and would not fall, and this lead to Havelange being AO'd by OKW.

Aarschot - Defense P1 - This town would be under near constant attack all night, and would consistently hold against all Axis forces. This town, and it's associated FB's would be hard fought, and change hands for much of the night, and some of the night's best fights where here. Aarschot would still be allied, along with it's FB to Diest when I logged.

Havelange/Arlon - These defenses would hold fast for their length, and where never seriously in jeopardy of falling, after Allied defense solidified.

At 01:00, needing to log for early morning RL duties, I turned the map over to Bongohed.

Summary:
Allied forces did an good job tonight, and maintained the their duties on the battlefront consistently during my tenure as MOIC. The fighting in/around Aarschot was intense, and very much fun.

Mention in Dispatches
The Allied forces in Glize where incredible, and bounced a Para BDE, and caused much pain to Lufftwaffe forces.

Conclusion
During tonight's actions, the Allied player again proved to have exceptional dedication to the Allied Priority attacks and defenses. All had fun, and so did the officers on Unified Command TS tonight!

ALLIED PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Mobius:  Back in the field and hard-charging as ever, this no-frills, tell it like it is Allied hard core player is the textbook example of field leadership, teamwork, and communications.  When Mobius is in town, there is nothing to worry about!

ALLIED OFFICER OF THE WEEK:
Kh21shrk - Always active and helpful, he is almost a fixture in AHC headquarters.  Consistently looking out for his branch yet always supporting the objectives of the Allies as a whole, he represents the can-do spirit of the AHC.

After last campaign the flurry of awards seems to have died down but I’m sure the next report will have many to share with you all.

Let’s send the axis back east keep up the good work
