An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief:  "Coming together is a beginning.  Keeping together is progress.  Working together is success."-Henry Ford.  Sums up all that it means to play any side, working together for success.  We had that in the beginning, but around day 5, short of officers, communications, and teamwork at a critical time, we lost a lot of ground.  Now the teamwork and confidence is back, and we doing great!

Well, another week of great battles are in the history book.  Battle-lines have stabilized around the Meuse river valley and both sides are jockeying for a positional advantage.
Your High Command officers are active and doing a good job communicating with the players at all levels and they are actively seeking more dedicated players to fill their ranks.  If you are interested in helping chart your sides course to victory contact any HC officer and they will guide you through the enrollment process.

1.31 closed beta is still rumbling along and our dedicated team of testers have been doing a great job reporting, identifying and squashing “bugs”. We are as impatient as you are to get this out the door so you can enjoy our latest release.

Now, onto the side reports.

FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF:

Coming together is a beginning
Keeping together is progress
Working together is success

Henry Ford

Sums up all that it means to play any side, working together for success.  We had that in the beginning, but around day 5, short of officers, communications, and teamwork at a critical time, we lost a lot of ground.  Now the teamwork and confidence is back, and we doing great!

The Axis is still lacking officers, especially in our Pacific time zone, and our crack team of trainers will teach you what it takes to be a leader.  It is be great opportunity to learn what it means to be a leader, and not just in the game!

Our door is open any time:

But even if you are not in the HC, you are still part of Team Axis.  Every day players follow the requests of what the officers need to have done, and their faithful following make all the difference between a wasted effort and booting the enemy from one town after another.

And what do I do, you ask with suspicious looks, do I just drive my Panzer barking orders?  Nope.  Lots of time I drive sappers to an FB, fly paras to a target, or like Wednesday, spawn a HT to tow 4x 88mm’s and 2x Bofors to the hills over Boullion, the stay and resupply them. (then try and run over pesky EI SMG that came to bother us!)

Enjoy the rest of the report!  I received some interesting stories of Paras in action!

AAR of the Week:

A special double feature of Paras in action on the same day.

11-17-09

I was running towards the town just as the AA went crazy, saw a fighter zig-zagging through the flak, then I could see a cloud of blue on the mini map, looked up and saw about 15 paras all floating down, wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a screen shot.

11-17-09 Para Ops:

With Turnhout under heavy siege, Paratroopers deployed to attack the FB succesfuly removed 4 S35's, 3 Panhards, 3 25mm's, 5 EI, 2 EMS's, and applied pressure on the FB. More importantly, this changed the psychological element of the battle causing the enemy to withdraw, move slow and careful, and enabled our standard ground units to establish a defensive perimeter.

AXIS OFFICER OF THE WEEK:
Sshamann: The He-111 is not the sleek and sexy DB-7, and it is a down right mule if you try to use it in the CAS roll (belive me, I would know!), and as such most players do not use them at all.  But not this officer!  Sure he was able to kill 16 in a single mission, but that is not what makes this one noteable.  Its that he keeps at it, and not just in He-111’s.  He puts his all in any mission he does, works hard to rally the troops, and is not shy of using what others shun.  For that,

AXIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Montyuno:  When ever you need a sapper, driver, para, pilot, or another pair of boots, this soldat will quickly show up, and most important will work with you AS A TEAM to get the job done.  I am always glad when he shows up, because he makes the mission work!

Congratulations to all!

S!
