FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF:
Overload! We had a strong showing of people signing up to join Axis HC, which is GREAT, however it has exceeded our capabilities to train everyone! To those that signed up or are considering, please be patient as we train everyone. You were not born a winner, and you were not born a loser. You are what you make yourself be. Lou Holts
But remember the rewards are proportional to your effort:… The steeper the mountain the harder the climb the better the view from the finishing line! Anonymous
The tide is clearly in the Axis favor, we are clearly gaining ground, our leadership is functioning, the small breakout has energized our base, and the player base is cheering victory after victory! There were a couple of mistakes but that did not diminish our efforts.
Not to ignore the Allies thirst for revenge. Insane battles east of Brussels with Allied air attacks that truly define what “air quake” is all about. Leuven battle was so thick; the sky was solid red with range circles. So intent with recent AQ’s they completely ignored the massive RDP effort against French factories, reducing them to 40% of total capacity, unusual so late in a campaign!
What is truly winning the battles are those who spawn Half Tracks to tow out the big guns. In the second battle for Namur a few days ago, despite calls for a HT and guns, as well as ammo for our tanks, no one came. In frustration I turned in my Stug G for a HT with a call, and in 2 minutes I had 4x 88mm’s, 4x Bofors, and a few PaK 40’s in tow up the south hill and stayed with them to provide ammo. Fortunately a 2ed HT showed up and provided additional support. One HT towing a bunch of ATG;s are move powerful then a singular Tiger. Just remember to bring a Sniper with you (as several times EI caused more carnage then EA).
AAR of the Week:
Nov 25, 2009 S! guys, here it comes my first report as MO (Map OiC), working together with Edan.
I came online and only DevilDawg was there, working alone and scared as a little puppy (Frantish: NOT). We set AO to Lacapelle and half an hour later we took it without even using a panzer. Was a good attack, where we had to cap 2 AB before heavy defense came into city. Player base worked really good and answered what we were asking to them.
Devildawg left and Edan and I took the map, working together as map OiC.
Being capped Lecapelle, we made a hole into their front. 2pd was in Aubenton zone far away so we couldn’t move into Lacapelle and we had to wait for a while whilst brigades were coming. Therefore, we start softcaping on Lacapelle zone: Nouvion-Guise-Neuvillete.
All the time Chimay was set as P1, with our people working there and grabbing all allies defenders.
Allieds AOed Hirson, which was in the middle Chimay and Vervins, with 4 and 2 brigades respectively. Reason because we didn’t want to move into Lacapelle in order to not stretch in excess or brigades. What we did while waiting the 2pd coming from E was taking all Hirson FBs and keeping them, at the same time that Chimay FBs.
Marine brigade was moved to Neuvillete, and allied did the same with St.Quentin and Chauny.
Attack started on La Fere, which was really complicated because inf couldn’t spawn on city or FB. We tried with paras but AF was so far away so we had to drive ms from city to city, being that a long way.
They continuously tried to cut our attack sweeping AO between Lacapelle, Hirson and guise, but our defenders controlled the situation and no harm on our front was produced.
At this time, Chimay fell back, and few minutes later we took La Fere, routing all these brigades on the South.
Now we struggling to keep La Fere axis, but it seems complicated issue. An issue that Euro HC will handle! Bar250
Follow up: Allies did full retreat and successfully linked up again and made it back.

AXIS OFFICER OF THE WEEK: BAR250: From the beginning BAR has jumped into the duties of the HC with both feet and running. He is never timid about taking orders and responsibility for whatever mission he is requested. A couple of days ago he proved himself with taking the Map Command OIC (MO) and skillfully leading to a small breakout as seen in his AAR above. More importantly, he worked with other officers to make it happen. For his leadership, and in particular teamwork, Team Axis is proud to present the Australian branch of the Spanish squad, BAR250 the OOTW.
AXIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: AUDIMRFY: Audimrfy joined axis almost a year ago, and he puts just as much effort as he did for the allies, which is everything he’s got, like his famous namesake Audie Murphy, who was credited with destroying six tanks. Ostwind’s report is as follow: At the very beginning of Allied attack in Val-De-Vesle, he managed to blow several ETs North , as a sapper, stopping the mechanized assault on north side, his actions gave me enough time to organize a correct defense in the town. Without him, enemy tanks would have rushed the town and defending it would have been extremely tough. (VdV was attacked several times, and almost lost it each time.)” Audi is everywhere, and works just as well in a team or on the hunt solo. (maybe he the ghost or the real Audie Murphy? :O )
