An excerpt from the desk of the Axis Commander-in-Chief:  It’s not over till the fat lady sings!  Awesome gains last few days, but it’s far from over!
Many times Axis has pushed this far only to get lazy and lose it all. Now more then ever we have to have our wits and ways about us to push forth the last stretch to victory!

Awesome gains last few days, but it’s far from over!

The most difficult challenges before us is Gent, a tough nut to crack, and the airfield rich area between Lille and Cambrai. The allies will have a strong air cover, and expect to be under constant air bombardment.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the American Thanks Giving holiday.

As I said in my CinC introduction, one of the great aspects of this game is the international scope.  You have the opportunity to speak to people all over the world.  Wednesday was no exception.
I happen to speak Czech fairly well (I live in Houston, Tx, USA), but a number of players are Czech.  Dukecz (note the CZ in name) is Czech, living in Czech Republic, and was up late, and it was terrific to have a rare opportunity to make use of my ability.
I urge anyone who plays this game to learn a few words in another language.
I suggest you start with German.  ;)

AAR of the Week:

MAP OIC 19:00-23:00 GMT
I took the MAP from zeta cause, as always, nobody step up to take it, we had avesnes AO up as P1, Kalmthout P2 and sotfcap Roosendal. I worked all yesterday afternoon to cap roosendal (after allied move out from that town during our attack on Kalmthout leaded by Itafolgore and placed by Simenon in his MAP OIC time). Around 19.30 finally we capped Roosendaal. For fist i attack i placed AO on Jodoigne as P1, and with a great help from players of 41st, nup, fiambre and toro15 as OICs of that attack we managed to cap that town. When we got Jodoigne i asked to rivait to work on St. Truiden-Tienen FB and REI worked on charleroi-Nivelles FB. When all 2 FBS were Axis, i asked to Rivait to keep EWS up on Tienen to distract allied to main tgt, Nivelles. Unfortunately Allied attacked hard on Beaumont and on Jodoigne during this time so Nivelles attack started with not a great setup and with only few players cause we are all concentrate to defend bEaumont and Jodoigne. After 30 min of Nivelles attack running i placed a mole AO on Wavre to cut off allied attacks on Gembloux and Jodoigne. The attack on Wavre went good and we managed to cut off their attacks. After Wavre i pulled Nivelles cause it didn't works and i placed another mole AO on Merbes to cut off allied attack on Beaumont, also this attack was a success and when i logged, Beaumont was safe after 5 hours of hard attacks on it. When i logged Allied was attacking hard on Guise and Laon, and we had P1 AO Wavre P2 Avesnes P3 Merbes and La fere as place holder.

Town conquested: Jodoigne, Roosendaal
Town lost: 0 as always
Main Flag movements: 16.ID Eghezee Jodoigne area, 3 PD Gembloux Charleroi, 1 PD charleroi and moved S 1PD HQ to relink 1.1 and to help in Beaumont defense, 4.3 In Beaumont to support the defense, some rotations and little movements in S area.

Ty to rivait, gman13, flixen, adoniram, csudet, gladio, fiambre, nup and pel. They did a great job
Considerations: Communication in HC chat is awful, and i'm bored to have always to take MAP OIC or MAP XO position cause nobody other step up to take this positions. Also when i logg ch53guni had to ask a lot of time to found a new MAP OIC, ty to flixen to his initiative to step up and take the map (he's a LW officers...Heer officers learn from him!).

Took the map from Wdalanw at around 1PM EST.
The plan in place was to use the whole of 1PZ in the Val area to get Bouchain and trap allied flags in Solesmes.

Allies AOd Val and started attack using units from Orchies and Tournai. Bouchain FB was axis but under attack and while squads were organizing the op, Gagamel and a few others precamped the FB. The FB went down and we got it back quickly. The attack commenced with 1.1 and 1.3 with 1.2 and units from 4PZ in reserve. The allies pulled HQ and arm bde from Bouchain and left Solesmes empty.

We got a precamp team in Solesmes and held off AO in addition to making sure Solesmes CP in Bouchain stayed allied so flags would fallback into Solesmes and be trapped. That happened and we AOd Solesmes and sent 2 inf flags to training.

Allies were underpop but started a heavy attack on LeCatelet. 27.2 was there but attrited. 27.1 was in Roisel and 27.3 I had moved to Ham to push Peronne and force them to cover Amiens area or risky it.

Moved 27ID into LeCat and our guys did a great job holding the town, uncamping the veh spawn by driving MSs and armor from 2.3 and 2.1 behind. Town was libbed and 2.1 moved in after we got the N FB and uncamped the area.

Bdes were left in position for Cambrai AO. 2PZ could swing either S to help 27ID or push Cambrai and 4PZ was in position to chase flags W of Bouchain or assist in the Val area.

I logged at about 5:30PM EST and left map with Frantish but from the moves, I see that CH53guni got it after I left.

I feel the plan was not accomplished as the final intention was to unbuffer AFs in the middle but we got Bouchain, Solesmes and from what I see, Peronne, while holding all we had.

Awards:

It is VERY rare any officer can ascend the accolades to earn by unanimous decision the most prestigious medal in the Axis Command, the Golden Eagle Order with Swords and Diamonds.  This is by far the highest honor Team Axis can bestow on a fellow officer.  TACRTC provides the invocation for this award:
“An officer that has not only had an impressive career in the Heer, Ereck has consistently focused on making the game “Fun” for those in his time-shift (Euro) and others as well. As he has advanced in the OKA with this goal throughout his career, his forum activities have engaged, motivated officers and players alike. Even as Ereck has moved into the highest levels of the OKA he has continued his positive efforts within the Axis community including his training of OCS cadets, coordination of the command staff and branch officers. He has not only excelled in those efforts but has become an example for others to follow.
For his excellence as a leader and commander, for his focus on making the game fun for officers and players alike, for his motivation of all that come in contact with him throughout his career, he is awarded the Golden Eagle Order with Swords and Diamonds!
