May he enjoy his retirement we all salute you sir!

It’s been around a week since the new campaign started, we had a good opening plan however the axis came at us hard and the plan stalled.  Now we’ve been pushed off the river line, our map oic’s are working tirelessly to correct this axis push and with the help of the players and the squads and all ahc we will remedy this situation. The allies have had a good opening response from ahc and the squads for this new campaign lots of comms and bold plans are being discussed, we will bounce back and push the axis back!

AAR of the Week:

TO: Allied High Command
FROM: Bulldog, CO - 1er Groupe d'Armee
DATE: 1-12-2010
RE: AAR - MapOiC 1-11-2010 (22:00-02:30 CDT)

Overview and SITREP
Took map from Gambolo, who had to log.

Allied forces where scrambling to cover gap made by previous loss of Chilly CP to Axis attack! Nearly the entire Axis 33rd ID and 3rd PzD cam through to Chilly from Sedan and southwards.

The night’s operational plan:
1. Stop beakout, and apply presure to Chilly area.
2. Go on offesive to gain initiative.

I immediately placed the night's "Concept of Operations" in hcmotd, stating the night's operational plan.

The following where the primary attacks:
Chilly - Taken
Charleville - Working
Sedan - Working

The following where the primary defenses
Rocroi - Held (HAAC)
Flavion - Held (HAAC)
Oostmalle - Lost

A Listing of Major Allied Operations (in brief):
Defense of Flavion/Rocroi - Both where hard fought for much of the night, with the tide of battle turning in both directions. Eventually Allied forces would liberate each CP, and the Axis would withdrawl from the attacks!

Defense of Oostmalle - This was not an active fight, as there where few defenders, and at one point, many attackers. After a valiant defense, and liberating the CP twice, Axis forces got inside both bunkers, and forced the 14e and 43e back to Schilde.

Attack of Chilly - This was Allied P1 for most of my tenure, and we would take this CP back from the Axis forces, after a long fight. In the process, we would heavily attrite the Axis 33rd ID, and 3rd PzD, and force their withdrawl all the way back to Charleville and Sedan!

Attacks of Charleville and Sedan - These attacks would be the follow-ups to the liberation of Chilly, and we would push hard at both, as Allied P1 and P2, respectively. Both would be under contention, until population dropped, then most players switched to the Charleville AO. Both where still in progress, but looking good when I turned the map over.

Mention in Dispatches
All Allied Soldiers, Airmen, and Sailors for a valiant defense and attack in the Chilly area of operations!

Gambolo - The MOIC before me, who's skill allowed the setup to re-capture Chilly!

Rabitldr, Falcongt, Georgh - all for exceptional tactical and strategic support during a time of crisis.

PvtJamoo - For excellent Coms and attitude, and for daring to step up to learn to be a MOIC on a night like this!

Summary and Conclusion
Allied forces did an exemplary job tonight, working with tremendous teamwork!

Many players and squad leaders stepped up to help Allied P1's, and there was great fun had in most cases.

!Salute!

ALLIED PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Boats – for his outstanding dedication and effort in ensuring the Axis are kept out of our AB bunkers.

ALLIED OFFICER OF THE WEEK:
Bulldog - for his outstanding efforts at working to get to know the individual squads in game, and ensure that they know who he his. This definitely shows that he is making a concerted effort to keep the squads in the loop, and enhance the AHC / Squad Relationships. The AHC and the game could use more of these officers to maintain good morale, AHC and PB relations.

S!
