Please join me in welcoming KJ as Cornered Rat Softwares newest Assistant to the Game Manager. KJ joins DOC, TOPD and JOKER007 as their n00b apprentice in ensuring that WWIIOL:BE runs as smoothly and as fun as possible.
In 1999 I'd caught reference to a new game from a member of The Damned (in Air Warrior 3) that would be comprised of not only a WWII combat flight simulator but would also be a ground and naval simulation, in one perpetual environment. My interest was piqued and I registered on the forums soon there after to follow the development prior to release. My first sortie in WWIIOnline was in March of 2002 and have played off and on ever since. Have enjoyed playing with others in various ways, from squad participation, lone-wolfing and finally joining the Axis High Command in September of 2008. Squads are the backbone of this game in my view, nothing can touch that level of impact from coordinated operations. Furthering communication and coordination between squads and their respective High Commands will be an ongoing task I desire to pursue. The perspective from non-HC players can be quite different from volunteer HC-players. I'd initially joined the Luftwaffe HC (OKL) to promote overall communication in game as well as provide airframes for players in time shift three (under-pop or Asian Time Zone). The community is no small part of what has kept me interested in this game for so many years, diverse and mature it is. Longest time away from game was shortly after Hurricane Katrina decimated the Gulf Coast in 2005. I'd initially expected to be away a few months, remained for nearly two years, to assist family that lived near Slidell, Louisiana. Am currently residing on the East coast of the US, in Virginia, which is the state I was born in although I grew up outside Los Angeles, California. It's an honor to be selected and look forward to giving back to the community for all the fun over the years. KJ Peters
