FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF:
Allied forces are fully engaged on the front lines with enemy forces. They have been pushed back, but lines are finally strengthening. Allied officers too numerous to mention continue to lead the way, and many others are contributing to the MOIC position. This has made a difference during this campaign. We have come off of a winning campaign, and now it’s time to step up the tempo once again, and push back towards their factories. Communication is the key to success! Keep up the great work Allies!

AAR of the Week:
25April 1400 GMT Defense of Namur
Axis forces had a breakout going in the TZ3/4 timezones. I saw the calls on the forums of help and logged in. Vendetta had the map and a number of other AHC members were assisting all over.
We were working to move divisions to contain the breakout and after helping in Temse, I OIC'd the defense in Namur starting around 1430 GMT. I logged in, checked supply and rallied the troops who were already doing a good job getting defense setup. I checked supply in 605e and in the Naval brigade in town and both looked good. I setup to guard the Andenne cp as it was spawnable and called out for a guard in the Eghezee cp as well. The fighting went back and forth for quite a long while and eventually we were able to capture the Eghezee fb. Numerous rounds of enemy para's were dropped and repelled each time.
The players were amazing and worked to push the defensive perimeter out to over 1km from town. Then they were able to take out the guns on the Eastern hills, then on the NE that were targeting the north army base. Communication and teamwork were very good throughout the defense.
Axis moved a brigade into Eghezee and the defense of the fb was amazing. We placed AO's on the bridges leading to Namur from the North to thwart attacks coming from Eghezee in case they took the fb or bypassed it.
While this was going on the fine folks from BKB worked like crazy to take down the Andenne fb. It took them a while - even getting to the 99/99 point (and it still not falling). Eventually they were able to take down that fb as well.
After another failed enemy paradrop was repelled the Axis forces ended up pulling their AO on Namur - after almost 2 hours of fighting. Fantastic teamwork, dedication and communication were key to keeping this town Allied through an Axis breakout and helping the morale of the Allied players.
