DOCAllied forces reached Koln at the end of their drive into the industrial heart of the Ruhr in Germany. Resupplied by the closeness of their lines to the heartland, the German armies fought back hard, managing over the course of the next 3 days to push the Allied armies back to the western borders of Germany.

Now the battle rages on the borders of Germany from Esloo in Holland all the way south to Heiderscheid in Luxembourg. The fight for the crucual city of Aachen was epic in it's extremes. A rear guard action of truly monumental proportions was fought back on the French plains; by the southern based armies of the German forces fighting to hold onto the remaining French territories under German control. The town of Trelon saw a herculean struggle finally overcome by a strong company of tanks driven up by the 23rd Armour which they had pooled from all available resources in the rear brigades. A massive tank and ATG battle broke out here and was waged down to the last man before Trelon finally fell to Allied reocupation.

Having won the initiative on the central plains, the Allied armies fought the Germans all the way to the Meuse valley and linked up with the other Allied armies who had pushed south through Namur/Andenne river line to consolidate the push through the Ardennes to Luxembourg.

Everywhere the fighting is both intense and extremely deadly, with the next 2 days likely to produce the final results.

With Campaign 62 approaching fast can the Allies reoccupy Germany again ? Can the Germans hold their homeland from invasion ? Login now and experience the truely intense nature of war in Battleground Europe, the war to stamp your name on the corpses of your enemies.

This is a great idea and i cant wait to see how the idea can be carried forward.
Just think how awesome this would be if the game wasnt so town centric. If the beaches could be CPs for instance.

Very interesting, as you can virtually make it last as long as you want by performing sudden changes according to the battle evolution. A kind of roleplay lead by a game master. Pity the new ingame "chain of command" is not ready yet !

It is hard to see the allies making it very far inland, Axis are going to put up a fight and even with extra supply for the allies, without organization it will just go to waste. I wish them luck though!

Allies seem extremely motivated so it should be a very fun weekend! Watten also really intense; those Allied tanks just keep coming so Axis have to be fast to get atg's deployed.

Quoting Glaz, i was in watten with my trusty LMG. That was one magnificant fight. The street to street fighting was really intense!GJ to the allies - they pressed hard and used thier air superiority to good effect I thought!

The fight in veurne was awesome. ALlies had pushed us back nd gained ab and their spawn. They pushed on our remaining cps and about to finish us when the mighty axis dug in and liberated. Brilliant fight though on both sides.

"Just think how awesome this would be if the game wasnt so town centric. If the beaches could be CPs for instance."

Question to RATS: How hard it would be to make it possible?

I made it 2X to the bunker. First time DOC killed me in the entrance, the second time he smg'd me past 50% capping. A frustrating night of many deaths for me, but epic in the grand scheme of the battle.

S! Great campaign idea.

Really intense fighting in St. Omer; you would think the Allies would try to press some of the "weaker" parts of the line to try and encircle it but I guess it is a matter of pride at this point.
