UPDATE! Last nights Kill A Rat was a blast! A lot of old names made an appearance on the battlefield and the response was enthusiastic and excited. The Beta server is being mildly rebellious, causing some people to have lag/warp issues. The problem has been identified with the host and will be corrected...with extreme prejudice. Cornered Rat Software is extending a very special invitation to veteran players as we wind up our 1.31 Open Beta-- unlimited free access to our 1.31 Open Beta for this weekend only!

We have a couple of events planned including 'Kill-A-Rat' and a planned battle for the Bridge at Remagen. This should be lots of fun with lots of old and new players slugging it out.

131We're reactivating thousands of player account from the last 3 years and granting them access to the Beta server so they can preview all the goodies that lie in store for the release of 1.31. Current subscribers are invited to participate and get the word out to old buddies.

Thursday, May 27th

1.31 Beta available for download HERE (Use the FTP links for best download speed!)

Friday, May 28th

3PM: Beta Server Opens

7-10PM: Kill-A-Rat

Saturday, May 29th

1-4PM: Combined Arms Combat Event at Remagen

On top of all that awesomeness (and there's a lot of it!), if returning players log at least one sortie they will be eligible to win one of many great prizes including:

*Prizes will be awarded in a random draw by CRS on Tuesday, June 1st. Players must log in at least 1 Beta sortie between May 28th and May31st to be eligible.
*To be elegible for the new '131' decal, your premium subscription must be active during the open Beta and through the live release of 1.31.)

Ah man I re-subbed last week. i should have waited and begged Gophur or Doc for the 1 year free sub. That's it, i am bringin back an old VFA-25 tradition and ordering Pizza for the Rats on release day to hold things up. Apache52 where you at?

Damn,new laptop definitely doesn't allow to spawn because of crappy hardware.Strange: I don't reach max CPU or RAM when crashing?
My old laptop (512Mb Ram & 64Mb video) plays 1.31 pretty well (10fps) but can no longer connect to the internet.

I downloaded & installed to see the new changes ingame but it tells me my old sub( I have my correct login/password) is inactive? I thought this weekend, May29-31/2010 was beta testing for 1.31? any advice helpful Thanks

enjoyed at least trying to play the open beta but computer would lock up hard after a short while . no matter if I was air, inf or armor..... I mean it locked up to the point i had to hit reset.

i have a question . i haven't been playing this for over one and half years now. i just logged in to the beta server and found out my rank is reset to recruit, is that mean my account on normal server was also reset for being inactive.

Loved it, lots of fun, but too many CTD's (instant desktop) for me to re-sub.
[Keep in mind, cav, that many of the CTD issues were caused by the actual beta server, not the game. We hope you give the game another shot when it goes live - MM]
