FROM THE DESK OF THE AXIS COMMANDER IN CHIEF: 

!S Axis  Forces, This is my first report to you as Axis Cinc! There is no way I would have made it this far without the help of countless individuals, especially the outgoing Cinc Imarock who is a inspiration and model of excellence.
The Mini-Campaign event has had the Axis forces reeling and on their heels from constant Allied attacks. In Beta, there has been some fights of truly epic proportions and everyone is excited about all the new faces we are seeing.
1.31 will bring new challenges and to meet these challenges OKW is always recruiting officers for HC.
Joining HC is a great way to expose a whole new level of gameplay. If this seems daunting, you can rest assured that there are currently many great learning opportunities for the OKW officer once they graduate Officer Cadet School, We have post-OCS classes for each branch that cover their branch specifics and advanced flag movements.

Logged in during special intermission to see the Axis frontline being heavily engaged around the Aalter area. I flew a couple of sorties in the Vliss/Knokke area to help other LW pilots engage enemy aircraft. During this time Map OIC had to leave so i volunteered to be OIC for a couple of hours.
Map was in somewhat good shape. 17thID was cut off in the south and Aalter was getting hit hard for several hours. With the help of Mattwhitt, i was able to conduct a series of attack AO's in the south for the hopes of getting 17th ID out of the mess it was in.
1. I moved 3pnzr Div from Training to Marle and placed several units in Laon.
2. We captured Airvcourt (sp?) in the south for 17ID to move east and hopefully join up with 3pnzr.
3. Ordered attacks on Noyon
4. Ordered attacks on La Fere.

Attacks went pretty well, had to leave the game before i could see the conclusion of both attacks. I asked help for the LW to take out the La Fere brigde and was done so within 10min. Good job by the LW for responding!!!

Towards the end 16.1 inf and 16.2 inf were depleted severly in Aalter. I moved 4.2 pnzr into the town to help save it and give the defenders something to work with.

Overall Axis players help me out on my first go of Map OIC. Was an enjoyable exprience.

“Since joining IKW, Devildawg has assumed progressively more responsibilities and in doing so has positively affected, not only officers in the OKA, but the Axis player-base as well. He assumed duties as OCS trainer, OBC trainer, OCS CO and finally as IKW XO.

In his current role as IKW XO, he voluntarily took responsibility to revise and update the Heer OBC training materials. He contacted some of the most knowledgeable officers in the OKA community, coordinated the planning for development of the new manual, organized the effort to create it in its final form and is currently working with the Heer to implement a new OBC initiative in that branch.

For his dedication to the players and officers of the Axis community, for his focused success with the update of the Heer OBC materials and for his long service to the IKW, Devildawg has been awarded the German Cross 1st Class with Diamonds.
