FROM THE DESK OF THE ALLIED COMMANDER IN CHIEF: FROM: Bulldog RANK: Allied Deputy Chief of Staff DATE: 17 June 2010
Allied Status We have made great gains, our front is well aligned and our forces are ready and eager. Allied population is excellent, with almost constant overpop and spawns delay.
Allied Ground and Naval forces have been amply covered by well organized air units. Axis factories have been hit hard and steady. The Zee’s are mostly ours with a constant confrontation in the Bergen op Zoom sector, with both sides battling to gain control and push the other out. Everyone knows their duty and is doing it well!
Allied player moral is excellent, and everyone is enjoying the great new look and feel of BE 1.31. Most, if not all feedback is very encouraging, and many players feel newly engaged and very entertained.
AAR of the Week:
TO: Allied High Command FROM: Erthel, Commander of 13e Régiment DATE: June 15, 2010, TZ2 (Central Time) RE: AAR June 15 - Euro TZ by Erthel.
First of all, congrats to all the allied, we are playing together and coordinated at all levels for first time in campaigns.
Well, I took the MOiC at around 15GMT. The flags were more or less well deployed around the map, while we had spread too much to N to cap Willemstad (don’t remember who gave me the map, but he did a great job taking BoZ and Will).
We started euro TZ with an axis all-in in Anhee, with a whole division against it. Fortunately, the proximity of Dinant made it easy to set msps all around E side, especially with the Spontin FB allied after a while, from which we set a ZoC around their FB. But, before that, they camped our AB and pushed us and capped E side. Air kept all the bridges in the area down, and armored moved into Dinant instead of Anhee to get armor on their back (5km drive). After a while, we got them crushed all over and cleared Anhee.
Special mention to 13th for keeping their FB suppressed.
On the south, we were too spread, pretending to buff Etain before euro prime. Took Fontoy and did it, while pulled right after that to fix the lines around Bertrix.
Axis came for Bouillon, we denied them at FBs. Multiple allied squads worked over it together.
Special mention for my squad (1SC) for getting and keeping both FBs allied.
Also, they came for Longwy profiting their advantage on far E (2 divs against 1). Again, a early defense deploy had axis kept away 2km out of town even before the AO started. Multiple squads reported working on there.
Then Herbeumont AO came, and again, we got a ZoC set up almost all the way into Bertrix, and again mention for 13th, while I'm sure other squads were there at the time.
Looking for a good AO after Willem, I decided to for for Oostmalle, as axis pulled a bit and we had supply advantage. That battle took 4+ hours, and wasted a whole division on both sides, ending with allied victory, north line fixed for a better deploy, and kept axis on def their whole prime.
Special mention to ALL the squads that worked together there, and from which I remember:
22nd 23rd 13th BKB 1SC
I am sorry because I'm sure there were other squads, but had not much comms with them. Awesome work up there.
After that we were between Euro and American time, so we got evening pop most of the time. They started pushing hard Bouillon after Oost fell, and then we profited from that move. AO’ed Gedinne,to remove pressure from Bouillon (as their only real supply to support Gedinne was on Bouillon AO). Got some of the previous squads, and probably more, working down there before AO started. Axis moved a LOT of supply around to keep it safe, like 2 divisions passed through Gedinne while we attired them down to rifles. This successfully brought axis out of Bievre, and after 6 hours of battle Gedinne was allied, and Bievre in great position to be taken. 2 hours latter we got Bievre. Sadly we lost Willemstadt meanwhile.
Well, Cometus got map the last hours of Gedinne and Bievre, and I step down after 8 hours.
I propose the next mentions, for holding the line against axis prime time and pushing they back on the whole map:
