Thanks to the help and enthusiasm of our community, WWIIOL:BE December promotions were a great success!  We had old friends come back to see what was new, new friends invited to play and everyone being invited to use the RATS for target practice during our special events.

E-GIFT CARDS

Thousands of cards were sent out by players inviting friends to join them on the battlefield. The E-gift cards gave friends and family 2 months of free WWIIOL:BE gaming, a $30 value. So far, more than half of these cards have been redeemed. If you sent any out, please remind the receivers that the cards may be redeemed up until February 1st, 2009.

WELCOME BACK SOLDIER

Thousands of past players came back to WWIIOL for our WBS promotion, and resubscriptions are on the rise. The 1.29 update has proven not only a hit with current players, but also appealing enough to bring some lost "sheep" back into the flock!

GAME NAME CHANGE

There is still time to lock down that name you've always wanted or to add 2 characters at a reduced price. Until January 15th, game name changes will only cost you $10. With over 100,000 names cleared out of the database, you might find that, finally, "1337PZPWNR" can be yours!

REALISM EVENT- 'RATS LAST STAND'

The December 23rd massacre events brought hundreds of players together with one unifying goal: Shoot Motormouth as many times as possible and then run away giggling. Docks, fields, bunkers, ABs, even the water were littered with the bodies of the Rats as the community mercilessly cut them down over and over and over again. Alas, there was no escape this time, as the rescue ship was sunk in the harbor both times before any could make it onboard. The Rats had to content themselves with watching Granik and Ramp mow down players left, right and center. Take that!
