Congratulations go out to the Allied forces and their High Command in Battleground Europe for their hard fought victory earlier today. Congratulations also go out to the Axis forces for their part in one of the most exciting campaigns we have ever witnessed in the games history. This campaign had everything from teetering on the edge of defeat, to a turnaround victory, the loss of Antwerp and Brussels at least twice going both ways ... epic air and naval battles over and in the Antwerp channel between the mainland and the Zeeland islands at the mouth of the channel and the North Sea. Breakouts and counter attacks and counter counter attack breakouts.
Servers will be down from 6:30pm CST Saturday (I think that's 12:30am GMT Sunday) but should be back up again quickly as we have no special consideration scripting validation to run as part of the reset. We plan to start the next campaign, number 53 ... on Monday the 22nd of June when the office opens again for regular working hours. There are no special conditions during the next 36 hours or so of Intermission. Commands can take a break from their grueling work of while players need not be concerned with attrition, protecting their gear, all those difficult tactical choices that amplify the tension and stress of combat during campaigns. Blow off some steam, learn some new equipment (rank restrictions are off for intermission also) ... practice some things you've been dying to learn but never had the chance to during a campaign because you were too busy dying. :) Find out what the other side is like perhaps ... in any case the point is to relax about all the normal campaign pressures and just have some easy fun not worrying about everything. If you learn something you didn't realize before, that's a bonus you can take into the next campaign with you. !S everybody. |
