Sometimes we may take this game way too seriously and forget why we even subscribe in the first place, (to have fun and enjoy ourselves). I would like to share with you all, two of the funniest and strangest moments that I have experienced in this game.
The first involved a Para mission on a small town in the south. I made the para mission in the French 601, and spawned in to fly the Junkers. About 20 people spawned in and boarded the plane before we took off. Our flying time was about 8 or 9 actual minutes to the target. While enroute, the Attack Order was placed. All was going well. No ground troops there and no Early Warning System (EWS) activated. We should take them by surprise and take this small town.
We got to about 4k up and 2 clicks out when I shut off the planes engine, my personal habit, and coasted in. When we were at the outskirts of town, I gave the order to jump, and jump everyone did. Perfect drop, right on target. As I banked away headed for home, a report from one of the paras came in that something was wrong with his monitor becasue the sky was just full of paras. He said it was at least 50 paras in the sky, and he knew we only had 20 in our plane. Within seconds, other paras began to report the same thing.
As it turns out, we jumped at the exact same time in the same exact spot as an Axis Para mission, which was about 2k higher up then we were. What are the odds in that? Once on the ground both sides scrambled for position. And both sides killed each other. The last two remaining died in a hand-grenade blast.
The other strange story involves a mission that I posted to take down an FB. Now, as I do, I like to keep as many FB's allied as possible so every once in awhile I will make a mission on an FB to a town that is not going to be attacked. I just want FB's Allied, like I said. Now as I was headed to that FB in my Laffy, down the road, what do I see coming straight at me, on the same road, but an Axis Opel. No one else around to warn, he was headed for the city just to mole it. Anyway, both him and I have the very same idea at the same time, and that was to try and prevent the other from passing. At first we hit each other head on, no damage to either truck. The we chased each other around in hopes of flippling the other over. This went on for about 15 min neither one of us getting the advantage. Finally, I decided to go on with my FB busting mission and as I started to travel down the road I looked back and saw the Opel heading to town.
As it turns out, I decided to despawn and wait for the opel to come to town, and he must have thought the same thing, to despawn and wait for me at their FB, because neither one of us saw each other again. -Bondpaul |
Tis why IMO this game is better then WoW, this game doesn't get repetitive, and if it does for even a second, BAM we get new stuff to change it up.
I Have managed to setup a DMSP in time to get an LMG out to take out incoming opels though
