S! Another day spent in the fields and towns of southern Belgium. The enemy was fierce, sending wave after unending wave of armour and infantry against our defenses at Cerfontaine. It seemed everywhere we looked we could see Jerry headed our way. HQ sent word we had to hold out on our own, Reinforcements were still hours away. We started scavenging ammo from dead soldiers just to press on the fight. Then word came down from our scouts that the Axis CinC Imarock was in the Field! Imagine our surprise! The intel report said he was headed our way in a PzIVG from the east. Well, that got us excited. Our CO put a bounty out for the Axis commander with a simple command; “Kill Him”. Several of our Anti-tank Guns began to roll towards Philipville hunting down this prized tank. Our sappers were waiting to creep up to place charges on his hull. He was spotted ESE of Town about 3KM out, and a few folks even managed to get close. But he kept on coming. I was perched up on a hill in ambush and began glassing the horizon with my binoculars. I spotted his tank and saw a few of my company trailing him. That big ol’ tank rolled up to the crest of a small hill stopped for some reason. The turret started moving so I figure he was looking around. Well, that was all we needed to bag em. I sat there and watched this one ol’ dog Sicion walk right up and place his charges on each side of the hull, right in the sweet spots. Boy he blew that thing to kingdom come!Sincerely, Col. Hick Commanding Officer Training Allied High Command
